it's odd alright. a few people posted a while back in hd that the fujis were mislabeled and would NOT burn at 24x... only 16x

I just ran Nero CD Speed on 1 of my burned FujiFilm TY cd, and it almost hit 48x. But when I ran a blank 1 from the same spindle, 16x is it, like when I try to burn 1 of the blank TY cd. Weird.

Just a little note on the burning speed of these cd-r's. Its not as much Nero as it is the cd-rw drive. Some drives will look at the cd-r find the rated burn speed and burn it at that speed while other drives will do a little scan of the cd-r and see what they think the max safe burning speed is and burn it at that speed and ignore the speed rate on the cd..

Although I am not sure about KCheng's drive since Lite-ons are drives that scan the cd-r and will burn it at a higher speed than its rated if its a good cd. Will look into that a bit..

Ps. You may also want to try another burning program. If one goes at full speed while the other is still slower then its the programs..
