I was offering another opinion, isn't that the whole point of this? If you don't like that, don't read it. Now you can go move yourself along.
 
Only thing I see wrong with your setup is your mobo. The one you wishlisted http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128009 has onboard video, and then you get a video card. Onboard is generally crap so you should stick with getting a video card, but you might want to look into a motherboard that doesn't have an onboard one.

AMD is fine to go with. I wouldn't count on really getting into OCing for your first build. You should note that AMD is cutting their prices on the 24th and if you can wait you might want to although for the low end CPUs I don't know how much they'll be affected.

Is it bad to get a videocard for a motherboard that has onboard video? i just picked it because it was reasonably priced, had what i needed, and had good customer reviews

I have a 30GB harddrive on this computer 🙂

I'm not actually sure if it makes a difference. It kind of bugs me on the inside though and certainly some sort of tradeoff was made to put the video card onboard. I don't know enough about lowend boards to really say if it actually hurts to have it though.
 
Well, im not looking for an unbelievable computer, i wouldnt know if there was a trade off most likely, i can definitly see your point though, everyone uses proper capitalization and punctuation in here it seems, I had better get on that lol

Anyways anything over 800-900 is a waste if your not a gamer, my sig is only like 1000 and i go bf2 on high and still get 50+ fps

How about this monitor? 515 five star votes sometimes means it's a good product.

EDIT: This monitor is also worth more than the one you selected, it just has a mail-in rebate that makes it the same price.

EDIT 2: This is an awesome CPU cooler that would own the boxed intel cooler any day, if you can afford it.
 
Looks good to me, is DVI not neccesary? i dont need it, just thought it was a good idea, cant argue with this moniters ratings though

Edit: Wow i dont know about 60 dollars just for cooling, but cooling is important, i just dont see it fitting the budget, any other options?

dammit why do I keep forgetting to look for that? DVI would give you extra clarity, and the one you chose does have really good ratings so yeah just stay with the one you picked originally.

$35 too much? This is one of the best coolers out there, it comes pretty close to the other one I posted.

EDIT: oh I forgot you'd need to buy a 92MM fan to go with that which would add extra noise etc. The intel boxed cooler would probably be better especially since you're on a budget.

Well you don't NEED it, but if you want to OC you're going to need it. This fan is identical to the $63 one i listed however this one doesn't have intel's fancy fan management stuff, which wouldn't really make a difference at the heat levels that cpu puts out. So yeah this cooler would be good.
