lightscribe slows down burning speed alot, but if you really want it i'll search for another one.

This is a common myth. you do not need 2 drives to copy dvd's. The computer will read the disk, store it in cache, then you will remove the original one, put in the blank one, and the computer will burn it on. You just need a good set of software like the nero which comes with that nec burner i linked to.

EDIT: here

This burner has lightscribe, is a better brand (than the one you selected), and comes with a free keyboard so you can remove that keyboard you have there.

EDIT 2: this looks like a better monitor than the one in your wish list. you get alot more screen area, widescreen, and a 4ms (although that may not be 100% true) response time. You can use the money you saved on the dvd drive to get it.

edit: that moniter doesnt have dvi

when you click add to cart there is an option to add it.

WHoops sry about that. haha. I'll keep looking for a better monitor

BTW This Hard drive is cheaper and would give you better performance because it has twice as much on board cache (16MB vs 8MB). I have had that drive for about a year now and it's reealllly fast for a 7200rpm drive.

I would trust a Logitech mouse far more than a PowMax mouse. Also you can delete that keyboard because the burner comes with one. Just when you add the burner to your cart, go to the page for the burner and click add to cart instead of just moving it into the cart along with the wish list.

The ECS mobo you picked out, it only has SATA support for 1.5 gb/s, and your hard drive uses 3 gb/s. It will of course, default to 1.5 when you set it up. But getting a mobo that has 3 gb/s would be better.

I suggest the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128009

Its what I use, all passively cooled with heat pipe technology. Its a little small, but its got nforce4 and 4 SATA 3 gb/s slots. The 6100 is crap, but what did you expect with integrated graphics? Just install that 7600 GT and you'll be flying.

Oh man... Widescreen gaming is sooo awesome! I have a NEC 20WMGX2 widescreen monitor and I don't think I could ever go back. A few games natively support widescreen gaming like half life 2, and quake 4 (with the new update), but other games don't and will just stretch out like fear. However, this website has TONS of mods for almost every game to make it widescreen. Fear in widescreen is awesome :D

Nice! I didn't notice that about the SATA. Yeah with all the money you've saved on the dvd drives etc go with that mobo instead.

EDIT: Or go with this one because it has support for SATA 3.0 and is cheaper than the gigabyte one. Although alot of people don't know it foxconn is a big company up there with gigabyte and msi.

Really what would you be expanding with? Even if you got a PhysX card, and a sound card you'd still have one free slot. I don't think you'd really use 3.

PhysX

Ok. Then the gigabyte would be a good choice.

You have too many questions, buy a dell, their target audience is people like you. It might even be cheaper too.

A physics card? really? I thought you dont play many games?

Any type of DDR2 memory will work, and for light gaming I dont think you'd need 800 speed. 667 would be fine.
