I was originally an Imus fan years ago, but then i started listening to Stern. Stern was good for awhile, but the intelligence on that show is very limited.

<< her face didn't look like that on the cover of FHM. i take it back...she's hot! >>

She looked really good in the movie "Flirting With Disaster" as well. The FHM pictures look really rough - it seems as though they got really carried away with the makeup and styling - but IMO she is still very pretty and definitely has a perfect body.

<<<< He provides the satesfying illusion that we, him and us, are above it all. I don't think so. >>

You don't listen much.

I can tell.

That's actually the opposite of what he provides... which is the illusion that we're ALL CHUMPS.
No matter how rich, famous, etc each one of us is a freak, retard, and/or stupid.

That's why his interviews are so good.... because he cuts down to size people who generally consider themselves 'above it all'>>

My point exactly. He makes YOU feel better by putting down people you think need to be cut down to size. To what do you attribute such a peculiar emotional need. There are lots of sad people. You might be one. What they and you don't need is to be put down for that. Put downs are what makes people pathetic in the first place. He only adds to the total disease in the world.

How do the people here who hate him so much and refuse to watch him know so much about his show?

Sure, Howard Stern is a pompous and arrogant jerk, but that's not the main reason that I hate his show.

What ticks me off is that his show is one giant commercial. It seems that there is a 10 minute commercial break for every 20 minutes of on-air time, and both him and his guests are constantly plugging their products DURING the show. It seems that the only two reasons that people put up with being humilated with his stupid games and questions are that:

1) They are trying to promote something. Actors promote their movies and books, musicians pimp their latest album, the all the strippers and porn stars are whoring themselves out for extra publicity.

2) They want something from Howard. Either it's callers kissing Howard's butt for concert tickets, or slutty strippers begging for boob implants. He takes advantage of this, and makes these people stoop to the lowest common demoninator for some cheap entertainment.

Ahhh Moonbeam... have you ever tried your bubblegum psychoanalysis on yourself? rofl

Yes, let's all hug, hold hands and frolick though the tulips. FFS, what world do you live in?

I like truth. You don't. You like 'nice'. Truth is not always nice.

Yes, I will admit, I LOVE to hear idiots like Julia Roberts squirm when interviewed by Stern.
99.9% of the times people like her are interviewed it's nothing more than an ass-kissing session.
Miss Roberts is typical of Hollywood stars who think that thier opinion on everything matters.

Another example is Alec Baldwin. He is a good looking guy who has starred is some decent movies and all of a sudden
he is giving political speeches. ROFL. Give me a break.

Someone has to point out the absurdities of certain folks who present themselves as 'above' others.

BTW, I love how YOU can tell ME and OTHERS what I/they need. Typical liberal.

That quote speaks for itself.

And the ones who are arguing against it don't listen enough to know what the hell they are talking about.

I don't mean ALL Hollywood stars are such egomaniacs.
I mean Roberts is a good representation of those that are.

Now, you disagree that there are MANY Hollywood stars whose egos run wild?

Can you explain to me why anyone should/would give a sh!t about Alec Baldwin's politcal views?
His political view are as worthless as mine.

Have not listened to or watched Howard's show in a long time. I enjoyed a lot of the joking around, sarcastic banter and the like, like between him and Robin. I could go a long time w/o the topless sexcapades etc. & not miss it a bit, though that was/is a big part of his show.

Could anyone tell me whatever happened with Jackie the Jokeman Martling, they had a permanent falling out?

1) Rush Limbaugh is a political commentator by profession. Is Alec?

2) Those that DO listen to and agree with Rush should just go ahead and be honest and join the Nazi party. :p

What's to keep him from becoming one? Political Commentator=Stating your opinion about politics to the public.

Jackie walked out over a salary dispute last summer when his contract was up for renewal, just after Howard re-signed his own contract (reportedly for $100M for 5 years, though Howard denies this). Jackie had twice done this before, but in this case Howard had been saying for months that he would not get involved in Jackie's pay negotiations, and that he would not have Jackie back if he walked out. For a few months Howard paid Jackie's salary to various people who alternated in his place, before hiring Artie Lange on a full-time basis.

F Jackie!

Artie Lang is such a better replacement because he's actually happy to be there. He loves the show and is honored to be apart of it.

Absolutely nothing.

I would hope MOST political commentators have many years of experience in politics (covering campaigns etc.).

That said, if Alec Baldwin's political views hold any credibility than my views on acting do also.

Let's go down to 7-11 and ask the clerk to give a keynote speech on the political situation in the middle east.

I wonder if the donut makers down at KrispyKreme have time to speak to us about the dangers of the US support of Israel?

On that subject my humble opinion is Artie started out VERY well.... but has lately slid into oblivion.
I think the guys from the MAN Show(?)... Adam and... uhhhh... that other guy... are funnier. :)

Dear Frances, I'll meet you in the tulips. Catch me if I pass out. Their beauty makes me weak in the knees.

<<I like truth. You don't. You like 'nice'. Truth is not always nice.>> Anyone who thinks they likes truth isn't anywhere near knowing it. :D Truth makes you piss in your pants.

Well if your right then 'someone has to point out the absurdities of certain folks who present themselves as 'above' others.'

I would have to agree. Adam Corolla and Jimmy Kimmel are funnier ad-libbers than Artie by far. I like Artie but on balance I liked Jackie better, if only because of the hilarious impressions of him over the years by Fred (and, earlier, by Billy West, especially in the guise of the Jackie Puppet), and the many sordid stories from his personal life.
