#77 and describe what happened to the friendly local police would be the correct thing. Unfortunately there is a 50 50 chance that I would have escalated it by being a moron back which is a behavior I am working hard at controlling now.

Well, if youre not a hippy who likes world peace and all that crap there is an easy 7 step solution.

1. Follow them to a red light, their home, work - whatever.
2. Catch them in a spot where you can block them in.
3. With a happy grin walk to the back of your car.
4. Pop the trunk, put on the jason/hockey style mask.
5. When they give a weird WTF?! look - Wave at them.
6. Proceeed to take out a chainsaw with the biggest fvcking blade you can find.
7. Start it up.

If you fall in the category described above, then you should have turned off like you always do.

i have a short temper while i drive and i would have not only thrown all my trash at him (while screaming at him), i would have called my friends to meet me where i was and totally fvck around with the driver until he was begging for forgiveness.

i wish i was there with you.....

ps. the above is too extreme but it would have felt good.

hehe YARRT (Yet another Road Rage Thread) heheh

I have sent at least 10 cars off roading. I have never started anything.

I constantly get behind someone slow and never get more than a car length away at the minimum...usually still two....if they don't move for my third light 'dip' (flash of headlights), I simply pass.

Now during this pass is when they figure they will 'get me' either accelerating, swerving at my car, or letting me pass then riding my rear and *trying* to cut me off.

The worst was a Escort GT with 4 guys in it coming home from down the turnpike one night around 2-3am (after driving 12 hours from Louisiana)....

I am in the left lane cruising about 75-80 and they come up behind me cruising....I get over in the right lane they pass and slow way down...everyone is looking at me as I now pass them.....they disappear behind me.

Then they return this time I am already in the right lane and they ride up on me, pass next to my door and get in front of me and brake.

For the next 15 mins it was cat and mouse....needless to say they eventually ended it by drifting away.

If it was only 1 guy, would you have gotten out to beat them up? Are you sure you weren't doing something dumb, I've never had people throw stuff at me in the car. Of course you should've called the police early on and given the license plate.

My favorite story. I was going to work, driving my usual 10mph over the speed limit in the right hand lane. I went past this guy going the speed limit in the left hand lane, so I turned on my blinker to move over to the left lane (for an eventual left turn coming up). He floors it, so I just let him go, but he drops back to the speed limit, I maintain the same speed. I pass him, he flips me off (I swear I was doing nothing to him). I get enough in front of him and my turns coming up. He again floors it, but this time I just go ahead and get into the lane. He flys up on my bumper, starts honking and flipping me off. So we come to a stop light. I unbuckle my seat belt, open the door expecting this guy to start something, but he's staring down at the floorboard looking really scared. I see he has his daughter in the back seat, maybe 5 years old. I close the door and as soon as we get going again he's honking his horn, flipping me off, shouting obsenities. There are some real idiots on the road, but that doesn't affect my view of self.

I have a solution like that I want to try....only it involves one or two of those knife blades on a stick you get in a BBQ set, with a blood stained chef's hat and apron.

Some how I think that would make that driver turn his license back into the DMV forever.

We were in Crate and Barrel or something when I came up with it a few years back....my girlfriend at the time said they should lock me up for my ideas. ehehheh

Even better would be talking like the Swedish Chef from the muppets as you liberated them.

The only time that at stop light stop got hairy was with my one friend back in the clubbing days (I am 32 now)....he was 100% organized crime always packing...I was about 190lbs at the time solid muscle+martial arts so I sort of was packing too. This guy in a caddy sts kept messing with us....we were both pissed, but it seemed he was just clueless...he would drift into our lane and stop like 3" from the side of us in the next lane. However at the 3rd or 4th light we went through (it was one of those you get one light you get everylight deals), he rolled his passenger window down and spit on my car. We both knew at that point the guy was totally screwing with us.

I was about half way opening my door (this guy I could have handed his tail too)...when my young gangster friend fires a shot over his hood. I was like WTF!...the guy hauls ass through the intersection on the red light (it was late) and continues firing. He wanted to chase him down.

It was fun but I was pissed since I don't carry and if that guy saw me again with his mentality may decide to add a gun to his mix. I'd be standing in an intersection with 2 or more holes in me before I got a punch off :(

having been involved in a road rage induced (not mine the other guys) accident which severely injured my friend and in which I was the driver. I commonly pull over to the side of the road and wait for them to get the hell gone.

It is neither admirable nor honorable to lose your temper, ever. If only I could remember that as well out of the car as I do in it, my life would be a bit easier.

Do the calm right thing. Never use a vehicle to try and make or illustrate a point, nor get revenge for some percieved slight. You only make yourself a fool.

That happened to me one time, this guy cut me off a couple of times so I did the same to him but before I knew it he had 4 other cars behind him with at least 10 guys. So he "caught" me at my friends house and there was a nice big fight, he ended up apologizing that night ;) he learned that road rage is not a good thing. Ahh to be 17 again.

Now I would just give them the bird and be on my way.

As for me...if it was two guys there's not much you could do except drive away. No need getting jumped just for some jackass trying to be funny with his d!ckhead buddy. But once again.

I would shake my fist angrily while muttering various obscenities under my breath. I might even call him a rapscallion and curse his darned shenanigans.

Why wouldn't you just pass them in the first place? If there is room for you to pass why do you try to make them move first? Just wondering...

Feel good story of all times.

I just want to point out, since so many people are reading this thread, that instead of "leaving my mark" on a thread there is this handy little icon all the way at the top of the thread called "add this thread to my forum favorites". It's the yellow star shaped one. When you click on the star the thread is added to you favorites list in the "today" page (the section in the left column under your subscribed threads). That way you can mark it for later reading without neffing.

Although, what fun is that. :D
