How would you end stop and frisk policing?

Police chiefs like Ray Kelly, George Grasso, Bill Bratton say stop and frisk save minority lives and they don't even know it, opponents say it is akin to racial profiling. I personally think stop and frisk is wrong.

How would you solve this issue if you were a police commissioner?

Well, first off,

I would supply long range arms to Ukraine, and authorize Ukraine to conduct long range strikes on all Russian military and government organizations supporting Russian military operations, including security agencies like the FSB and Kremlin directed influence operations directed against the west. Such operations of course, are in vital interest to Ukraine's current survival, target combatants in Ukraine's war, and are in its direct national self defense.


This would also, very conveniently, reduce the number of annoying threads on pointless topics on the internet.

What are the police in the picture looking for? Would it be something they are not supposed to have? Is it wise to try to preempt people from doing whatever they intend to do as a motive for having something they aren't supposed to. Maybe the problem is there. Maybe it is better they have whatever it is. What about a book of matches. You can light a cigarette or burn down a building. Maybe the answer is a machine that can read your intentions and put you to sleep if your feeling violent, call the cops and be put somewhere for treatment. Such technology is in the works. I bet there are a lot of people who would not like to have their feelings open to public inspection. I can't imagine living through the experience of my English teacher knowing what I thought about her breasts.

No it doesn't. It may be lower, but is still too high everywhere. Not just in NYC. (San Francisco, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami ...)

How to end it? Start randomly stopping the profile of financial criminals which cost this country more money than street crime. That profile is a 50 year old white guy. If you start randomly stopping them and search all their physical belongings along with their computer records within 48 hours a phone call would be made and stop and frisk would end

That's because it makes everyone poor which is fine by conservatives and even many liberals. What they don't like is up close crime that just affects them. This is how self hate works.
