I forgot to mention that $150.00 is after I pay all my bills. That means rent, cable, insurance and loan payment. I have $150.00 left over until I get paid again in two weeks. :)

u can get a whole chicken on sale for about a dollar a pound. so for 150 bux, u'll be one fat bastard. roasting is easy

that and ramen. best stuff out right now is by noodle king!, not that cheap sh*t ramen. believe me, it tastes more like restaurant stuff then instant.

do some coupon clipping.. and go to a big supermarket, grocery store....

$150.00 would fill my fridge, all my cupboards, and cabinets....
If you know how to shop, $150.00 is more than enough for one person to eat off of..

Umm... Last time I checked, 150 / 14 = $10.71/day, not $21.43..

That said, 10$/day is PLENTY to eat well everyday for the next 2 weeks. Don't buy fast food, It is a waste of money as far as food goes. Buy some real groceries and make your lunches/dinners.

Way more than enough if you ACTUALLY buy groceries instead of spending it all on junk and fast foods. I could feed my Fiance and I for a month on $150 worth of groceries.

simple....

Buy a bag of letil beans (2x.99) and follow directions to make soup on back. Along with this buy a pack of cheese (2.00) and some tomato soup (4x.99) and about two loafs of bread (3x.99). Enjoy your next two weeks of eating, :). Then go out and buy a couple of DVD movies and Games to keep your mind off hunger, :).

LOL, you are worrying about how much money you are going to have for food while I'm purchasing a $600 flat panel display. This is great.

Maruchan Ramen or something like that is the best stuff around where I live. Top Ramen does suck. My favorite flavors are oriental, roast chicken, and shrimp YUMMY :D

it really depends on how far you drive.

If you only have 50 dollars for food for two weeks you can do it.

Eggs + toast in the morning plus some milk or oj (from concentrate)
PBJ sandwich, or lunchmeat sandwich, plus some cut up carrots celery etc
Cook chicken or rice and beans for supper, etc etc

I think its interesting how someone mentions concern on how to budget money for 2 weeks, then mentiones they want to buy another toy (ignore this if the printer is a neccessity for business in some way, but i doubt it =)

$.99 Chilli at Wendy's and BK is a great alternative to fast food burgers/sandwhiches. It's pretty filling and not ungodly unhealthy.

Try ordering that if you feel the need to go to a fast food joint.

i spend like $50/wk.
$20/day is insane.

go to grocery store. buy carrots, green peas, corn, imitation crab meat and a box of ramen noodles. also buy, a box of granola bars, milk and a box of cereal. this should be good for a week of good eating.

My wife and I just went 2.5 weeks on 132.44. I bought some ground beef, roast, soup, vegetables, eggs, milk, and a block of cheddar. After that, 2 tanks gas, and a movie, we had 27.08 left. Both of us got paid today, which is a relief. Why no money left? Finally paid off CC debt. Now, to work on the school bills... :disgust:

Your buying a $600 flat pannel, and you bitch when your dad wants to borrow your car??? Hell, you even wanted to charge him $50.

Wow, unbelievable...

If I gave you my budget for food alone, you would be left with about $100 by the end of two weeks. Per day, the maximum I'll spend in a day would be about $3.50 for food. Yep, you got it right. A Jumbo Jack or McChicken twice in a day is enough for me. Then the dollar left would be for snacks. Of course I'm not counting in the time of the month. You may want to add 50 cents to that, but you aren't female.

If I used all of the money and bought groceries, it would last me more than two months with everything I bought just for myself. It would probably last me 3 - 4 months.

I don't think you like that kind of budget. So perhaps someone else can help you here.
