I need a pair of computer speakers, and my budget is tight. It would likely be the X-530 if I go that route. But I have decent pair of boston acoustics home stereo bookself speakers not currently in use. I'd have to buy a used reciever/amp for them. That should be <$50 because I'd be looking for an old stereo one (I only have 2 speakers). They are magnetically shielded so that wouldn't be a problem either.
My main question is if this is worth it. Sound quality should be good, (I think...it is AC97 afterall), but its a little but a pain. Also although music is where I really like high-fidelity, I do play games on occassion and don't want to be limited by not having a 5.1 set.
What do you guys think, is it worth it?
