Some of that stuff, like money for a museum roof were for Sandy damage. It was a huge storm that brought lots of damage up and down the east coast. It didn't just affect NYC. The notion that the bill was filled with unrelated pork is patently false.
I'm sure lots of the claims are bullshit.
My point is that I don't even care if it wasn't directly due to Sandy, but was extra stuff that needed doing anyway.
As long as money isn't going to build decks on the back of senator's houses or preventing money got to those in need, it's just part of the political process.
It's sure not good enough reason to hold up money from ppl in need.
