Is this the typical "how do I bring my own booze" thread or are we talking drugs?
Pat down? Cavity search? Dogs?
A...err....friend wants to know, because he leaves on a cruise this weekend.
The booze is taken care of already (filled up a couple screw-top wine bottles that are allowed on board with vodka).

Edit: That's two replies in a row that are assuming "drugs." Shame on you two, my friend is a professional.
Metal detectors, x-ray your stuff, pat down if need be. Pretty much the same as non-american airports.

Lets try it this way: "If Charlie Sheen were to go on a cruise, would he get to have all the fun he wanted?"
eh? All American airports do this. Have always done this. The frisking has gotten even worse as of late.
will they check to make sure the bottles are unopened?
for his drugs, I recommend swallowing some condoms.
pro-tip: Lambskin goes down easier, and in case your internals are more sensitive to latex than you would have assumed, this just avoids further discomfort.

That's what I meant, it was all the standard stuff without the penis touching that you get in America
Charlie sheen could probably get on a cruise and party... as long as he was smart enough to not leave the ship with party supplies in his pocket.
Hey, people pay good money to get their junk grabbed. I think the TSA should be commended for throwing in a freebie.
Rgr
That's true, I went through twice last time!
I found it helps if you wrap your junk in $20 bills.
I rent a corker and heat wrapper for things like this. I make my own wine so I just put whatever in it, cork it, label it, wrap it so it look completely unopened. If I desire, I could put ..stuff... inside the cork.
Yep -
go to any wine bottling shop and buy yourself some corks and heat shrink wrappers - you dunk the bottle in hot water and its sealed.
can you bring any kind of food onto the ship? vaccuum-sealed, buried in a jar of peanut butter (cut out a perfect hole in the middle, then recover and fix the surface of the peanut butter to look fresh), is a good way to smuggle....stuff.
note: I have never ever tried this before.
