We got what the meteorologists predicted: The first half was very cold and no snow.
The second half had tons of snow and it lasted up into late March.

This week varied a lot. Monday was high 20's, I think thursday it hit 67. Yesterday and today it was relatively warm and rainy.

It's still winter...it shouldn't be, but it is.

I also have a 270 ft driveway that I shovel by hand...so yeah, I'm in pretty good shape, but I'm starting to be anxious for spring to show up

Didn't have a lot of snow like North Dakota and the east coast, but I hate the fucking cold! Right now it's 36F. We can still get snow up until May 15 here.

Worst winter in NJ / NY since 1995 / 1996 ... but since I don't need to be out by a certain time each day, I do not care. Just watch all the nitwits on tv make fools of themselves on road conditions they should know how to handle. But my heating bill was way up, as this winter was extremely cold.

Considering we used to live in Winterpeg for a good two decades, winter in Calgary here is nothing in comparison. Mild snow days for the most part, wind gusts here and there, a couple of -25ish*c weeks. As long as you're properly layered and your vehicle is up to snuff winter isn't that bad.

More importantly, last winter and this winter I was hardly sick, nor did my hands dry up to the point that it's bleeding, so all in all it's been fine and dandy :)

Was? It's far from over. :p The worse has yet to come in terms of snow fall, though the extreme cold (-30's) is probably mostly over. It's finally been warming up a bit. We even got a couple days where it went above 0.

Pansies. Connecticut didn't break the top 30 on the list while Minnesota didn't crack the top 20. Michigan has #4, 7, 8, 11 and 15 and many locations in MI broke the 'coldest winter ever' record

Winter is more than just inches of snowfall. At least if you live in a place that has plows and knows how to use them.

We're doing just fine for other metrics like number of days below zero.

Hell, it's getting almost warm enough to snow! FML.

House come we see all these BC and Alberta tags running down Interstate 5 to Arizona in the fall then? ;)

Connecticut got slammed. We are at ~70 this year. How was winter for you?

I'm in Connecticut too and as awful as this winter was, we got incredibly lucky. Every storm either missed us completely or hit about half as hard as expected. Predict 12" we got 6", predict 10" we got 5", predict 4" get a dusting. In March alone we dodged 4 different storms that slammed other areas. First week of March there was a major storm heading to Connecticut, the cold air from Canada nudged it south, D.C. got a foot and we got nothing. 2nd week of March another major storm headed our way, veered north, dumped 2 feet on Vermont and missed us. Last week another 6-8" headed our way, another cold air blast pushed it south, it nailed southern Jersey to D.C. instead and we got zippo. This week that nor'easter that was supposed to give the whole region 1" to 6" hit southern Jersey and absolutely drilled the Canadian coast and we never saw a single flake.

We could EASILY have had 3 or 4 FEET more of snow than we actually got and could still have a couple of feet left on the ground if we had gotten less lucky in March. So as awful as it was, let's be thankful it wasn't worse.

Been pretty crappy in Chicago. Sure, not as bad as MN or Canada, but for our geographical region, it was rough.

It didn't start raining until February...which could prove a problem...but it did rain a shit ton in Feb and a fair bit in March. I doubt it's over, either.

Fuck...it was terrible. We actually got almost one whole inch of snow one evening. Thankfully it was melted off the next day.

(it did get COLD for a few days. First time I've seen temps in the single digits in over 25 years.)
