the important thing is mostly HAVING a degree. There are many jobs who won't look at me, just because I don't have one, and have interviewed/hired guys I know, who are much less qualified then me, because they had a degree in a non related field.

Like lets say in two years I am looking for a new job and I think an finance or econ degree would help me get a job. Could i finish it quick then or is it too late.

Probably want to talk to your academic advisor and not ATOT

Not marketing..Management.

Seems I could get a Econ Degree in this coming semester with 5 classes. I've always liked econ....but thats pretty useless as well. I believe our econ is a BA not a BS

I worked as a bank teller some years ago. There was a young woman I worked with, who was also a bank teller. She had a Bachelors in Econ. I remember asking her once why she was still working as a bank teller for a <$10 hourly wage. She told me flat out, she couldnt find a job.

I think that shows how ***** of a father you would be.

Having an issue with and supporting them no matter what are two different things. I know what it's like to have a father who doesnt support you, and I would never want to be that father to my children. I would have a problem with their decision as to a major if it was psychology or marketing, but that owuld only be because I am concerned for their future. I wouldnt want them to have a difficult time finding a job or working in a career that they didnt intend to work in.

Would I support them, if thats what they really want to do, yes. Would I pay for it, yes. But I'd at least voice my concerns.

Ok so i started college off has a CS major. Not a huge fan of programming so I switched to Business as my dad is in that feild and I always found it a bit interesting. Well through the years my school has screwed me over schedule wise a few times, I studied abroad, and so forth. I was an accounting major but if I wanted to finish it it would take me a extra year. If I switch to Management I graduate with one online class during the fall semester. I've taken a bunch of Econ, Accounting, and Finance courses so I feel I am pretty well rounded in all the areas. I have a good internship this summer in a finance/accounting position but I was wondering how bad a managment degree looked.

After 4 years of college I really just want to get out. i don't like where its located and I want to travel and move to a new location....which I can't do at college.

Forgot to mention that I go to a state school so its not that amazing of a school but my GPA is a 3.7 and I've worked through most of it with some extra activies so that should help.

as others have said, a business degree is worthless w/o experience. spending 6months and $7k for a MCSE gets you a better paying job. u might as well have a liberal arts degree.

since u have an internship in accounting, it's a no brainer to get the accounting degree.

My mates gf has a degree from one of the best if not the best Business school in England. Her degree was in Economics, then she did a Masters in Marketing and now she has a job at BT doing marketing. She is obviously bright and went to a very established school.

But yeah most people with marketing do end up with cack jobs but hey it's what you make of your degree, what other experiences you do have and how you carry yourself in interviews. If you tick the right boxes even with a cack degree you will go far.

A good degree with no skills/ experience and you will really struggle to get a good job. Well unless your so good at your technical job you don't need any people skills...
