How unhealthy is it to eat steak 4 times a week?

I usually eat steak once a week, but lately, for the last couple months, I've been eating steak for dinner maybe four times per week. It's usually just sirloin or strip, and the only reason Im eating soo much of it is for the protein. But is eating this much steak unhealthy?

isn't chicken the best source of protein? and pretty healthy too

I ate chicken breasts and vegetables every night for dinner for almost 5 months prior to switching to steak. There's only so much chicken you can eat before wanting to throw up. And it's very dry.

You'll be fine. Don't be duped by the Cholesterol paranoia. If you're eating lots of meat for extra protein I assume you're working out? Also, remember to be a good boy and eat your veggies.

Only if you suck at cooking.

LOL, because Im always on a time constraint, most of the meat I cook goes on my giant foreman grill. The steaks come out nicely and juicy, but the foreman grill dries the hell out of the chicken breasts.

You doing any supplements? Whey shakes or protein bars? What about beans and fish? Both pretty clean sources for protein.

++

Try mixing it up. Chicken salads are also a really good thing to eat as a snack to get lots of protein. (and get you the veggies too)

Here is my normal diet:

Breakfast: homemade weight gainer (lots of fiber) (50ish grams of protein)
Lunch: Deli Sub (?? grams of protein)
Lunch 2: Chicken Salad (with a whole chicken breast cut up on it, so 30-40 grams protein)
Post Gym - another protein shake with 50ish grams protein
Dinner: Alternate between chicken, fish, and steak based meals
Midnight Snack: Hardboiled eggs, tunafish, nuts, etc...

All in all, it works out to be over 200 grams of protein. But if you switch between different meats at dinner, it wont get old nearly as fast. There are also about 10000 ways to cook chicken so it doesnt get old.

edit: dont forget about pork chops either...

I do more supplements than I can count. I take shakes and bars. I eat beans every other night.

Fish is another story:

I went on this fishing trip a couple years ago. We caught maybe 15 huge catfish. I had the brilliant idea of keeping the fish so that I could take them home, filet them, and cook them. Keep in mind that I had never done this before and I had no idea how to do this. Anyways, I take home all of these fish. It took me nearly three hours to gut and filet these things. I was soo disgusted by everything. There was blood and fish guts all the floor in my garage. And the smell, OMG. Anyways, I ended up with a bowl worth of fish meat after cutting up maybe 15 large catfish. I take the meat inside and start to cook a small piece. I seasoned it with some garlic, lemon, and pepper. I took a small bite and I nearly gagged. Maybe it was the whole process of catching the fish, and blood and guts all over the place and fish smells that disgusted me. Anyways, since then, I havent eaten fish with the exception of fish sticks and canned tuna.
