$10 says RabidMongoose is a Bush supporter.

No, I hate Bush. Where's my $10?

$10 says that simms is a queen-lover.

Makes me wonder if you like anyone. Like the look of yourself in the mirror?

Yeah, that makes sense. If you don't like Bush or your beloved Queen then you must hate everyone.

We can't forget that other country you seemingly despise.

Next time I go to Europe, I want to act like I'm from Canada so people don't give me flack for being American. How would I go about this?

Why would you do this? Americans are considered to be among the best tourists in the entire world according to travel surveys. Canadians are generally rated as worse tourists in a general sense.

But if you want to act Canadian, just pretend to have an inferiority complex.

link?

CoW posted it earlier and yllus just posted it now. Canadians are not known to be good tourists. I realize that many Canadians only manage to get through their day to day lives and survive their inferiority complex by believing that the rest of the world actually cares about and subsequently likes Canada, but that's just a foolish belief.

It's not that Canadians are bad tourists though.

I guess your attitude makes you the greater of the two evils eh?

What's my attitude?

You tell me.
What kind of response is that?

Yes I LOVE the Queen. Give me my $10, punk.

Or just STFU... seriously, you're just making yourself look like the typical American that the world hates - it's people like you which contribute to the stereotype.

Most of the grief Americans experience is due to US Politics and not the person. So I can believe that US Tourists are seen as great, but there still exists a negative attitude towards the US that sometimes gets expressed to Americans overseas.

If they drink A LOT (like almost alcoholic, but not quite) they are 10x more likely to be Canadian. Trust me!

Bringing up facts about how Canadian tourists are perceived is goading others into a flame war? No, I think not accepting facts does :D

God bless the Queen (and nobody else)!

Canadians are so funny.

Actually they aren't. Most of their funny people come to the US and then become Americans. :D

That must be why Canadians have such little sense of humor now.

Actually saying your Canadian in most of Europe is good. Do not however Claim you are Canadian in Spain. Canadians are hated by Spaniards due to a fishing dispute years ago.

Are you referring to the article with no quantitative data, based on a survey funded by an American company you posted? Truth be told, when I traveled in Europe I didn't have a flag of any kind on my bag and didn't have any problems. I couldn't care less what reputation Canadian tourists (or American ones, for that matter) have.

Anyhow, I'm not going to get drawn into a debate over this, I learned long ago that there's no point in debating anything with the word "Canada" with either you or RabidMongoose. I'll be happy to discuss an electrical engineering-related topic in another thread, though.
