Me and my female friends always laugh at how CLUELESS guys can be.

We are not interested if we do 1 or more of these things:

1. run away whenever you talk to us or if we see you and we walk quickly the other way
2. give one word answers to your questions and never ask anything about you
3. after asking us 3 or more times to do something and we ALWAYS tell you we are busy and never offering an alternate date that we are free
4. tell you we are not interested. yes, we really mean it.

ok, considering how this board is full of guys and knowing how you guys LOVE to point out how us girls are always wrong and confusing and don't make sense i'm ready for the bashing!

If you aren't going to bash, contribute your own advice to all of the clueless guys out there who JUST DON'T GET IT!

Who guy here is claiming that girls are irrational and don't make sense? Who??

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU

YOU ARE DECEIVING ME

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR LIES, SIR

Girls who aren't interested simply say "I'm not interested", which is the logical, rational way to handle it. Obviously weezergirl's post is written tongue in cheek.

Alternately though, if they don't try to keep their distance, or if they are willing to talk and keep a two-way conversation going, it may not mean that they're looking to go out with you.
But then, I'm no expert on this, just an observer.

What if they promise to meet you for drinks, but never show up.......... 12 times in a row?

I'm thinking the 13th may be the charm:brokenheart:

I don't care if a girl is not interested. I have got nothing to lose, so I just keep on em, they've done only 1 of the things you've mentioned, but I keep at 'em, and I'm seeing results.

Of course there are. Dude. Men are stupid. Accept this. And women are insane, irrational creatures that somehow don't see the logic of simply saying what's on their mind instead of sending "signals"

Seriously, men as a whole have accepted the gender's respective weaknesses. Women should too, everyone would be a lot better off.

It is never black or white how you describe. There's cat and mouse game [some] women like to play, teasing, flirting, words and actions with double meaning, etc, and after all playing the innocent girl; so sometimes it ends up with a rape when you "don't get it" that you're playing with stronger sex.

Uhh not interested as in freaked out right? I mean you could be NOT INTERESTED as in a relationship but interested in being friends. In that case I don't think my female friends give me 1 word responses, tell me they're busy, etc.

The girls who act like 1) through 4) are those who are aroudn weird guys....

thing about #2 is that it should be in person I think. I know someone who would respond with 1 word answers online yet talk a ton when I talker to her in person.

I can vouch for these.

I was dating a girl in college and everything was going great for the 1st week. Valentine's day hits and we are having dinner at my apt. In my room, I had a Valentine's day gift from one my best female friends. We always gave each other V-day gifts because we were always alone on V-day & just wanted to cheer each other up. Unfortunately, I forgot to tell her I had met a girl.

It didn't even occur to me to hide this box of chocolates from the girl I was dating because I had NOTHING to hide. So i guess this girl saw the box, but didn't say anything about it during our V-day date. I couldn't even tell that something was bothering her at all.

But man, the next day, #2 & #3 (see quote) in full effect, & I had no idea why. After prying & prying, she finally said, "Well at least I don't have other girls sending me gifts on Valentine's day."

DOH! Lesson learned.

To the OP, yes many guys are clueless as to the female signals. And many catch the signals but persist anyway as evidenced by this post

"It is never black or white how you describe. There's cat and mouse game [some] women like to play, teasing, flirting, words and actions with double meaning, etc, and after all playing the innocent girl; so sometimes it ends up with a rape when you "don't get it" that you're playing with stronger sex."

There is however one signal that is unmistakeable and is always understood.

I asked a girl if she had any plans for the night and she shot me down without offering an alternative date.. does that mean she isn't interested? :(

Unfortunately your summary doesn't account for girls that give mixed signals

What? Mixed signals? You're saying girls often give contradictory signals of their intentions?

Haha which are about 99.9% of them or so.

Seriously though I definitely agree with #2 and #3 from personal experience. Good advice.

just evolution man.
mans strategy should be to be a bit oblivious and over optimisitic, because missing a chance to spread the seed is not so good. aka if you don't try you can't get lucky.
womens strategy is opposite and more picky since pregancy is far more dangerous and costly and they only have one go at a time. aka if you are a hoebag you gonna be single mama
