This is not to be permanent. at all.

But for a reason that is not important right now, I'm looking for a way to shed as much weight as possible in about 10 days, water weight will be fine, or whatever else I can lose.

I just need it to go down for about a day then I can continue with what I'm doing - but what are some good (extremely) temporary ways to drop a couple pounds, and get all the damn water bloat outta me? I was under the impression that an extremely low carb, high protein diet should help drain me out some?

low carbs should do a good job. also you can try shedding some intracellular water. i think it goes 3 days out chug 1 - 2 gallons of water for those 3 days. then on the fourth day you drink something like half a gallon and then cut water after 3pm or so. day of you just sip water when you're super thirsty. I think you can take some dandelion root the day before or a bath in epsom salt or something like that to shed some more water.

t-nation has an article on this on their site somewhere.

You cut a lot of water weight, decrease your sodium intake, and drop any processed carbs (bread, pasta, etc). You can have fruit and veggies, but drop every other carb source. Also, you can run in a sweat suit, as suggested already.

Also, the night before doing whatever it is you're doing, have a hot bath before bed and then sleep in a tracksuit with as many blankets as you can find.

Here's a tutorial on how to cut weight before a fight: http://www.grapplearts.com/How-to-Cut-Weight.html. My old martial arts school did something similar except that they'd also cut their calories quite a bit for a few days before weigh in.

If all you're going for is what the scale says, then you should be able to shed 10+ pounds in just a few days.

you can drop maybe 10lbs of water in a day if you worked at it and put yourself up for possible shock.

Diueretics and the like usually go hand in hand in this.

Yup. Whenever I eliminate carbs I instantly drop 7 pounds overnight. If protein is still very high calories can be brought pretty low as well for a short period of time. With low calories/carbs, high protein you could easily drop 5-10lbs in a week, depending on your starting weight.
