My goal:
To run my domain at home on a Windows 2000 Server (it is setup) with a dynamic IP on DSL. (For experiments)
My setup:
-Dynamic IP on a PPPoE DSL line.
-Win2K Server
-Domain name registered (hosted at an ISP currently, where I do work)
-Netgear RT314 w/ PC's on 192.168.0.0 network.
Ok, so I know you can run zonedit, dns2go, dyndns.org, etc. to have a "whatevername.dyndns.org". Now do any of these allow the capabiltiy to run a www.domain.com of a dynamic IP server? If not, what would I need to do so?
Addtionally, if this was all possible, then what ports would I need to forward for:
-Exchange 2000 (w/ OWA, and any other standard ports it uses).
-All the DNS activity.
-Win2K built-in VPN (IIRC, it has built-in VPN server stuff?).
I realize my setup is circumstance is not ideal, however, your assistance in reaching my goal would be greatly appreciated. 😀
Thanks!
