How to make any Subway sub good.

Your choice of meat.

On honey oat, add american cheese, tomato, red onion, green peppers and Southwest Sauce. I've yet to find a meat substrate this combo is not good on. Currently enjoying a 12" Tuna in this configuration.

Use subway sub money to buy a non-subway sub at a local mom & pop sub shop? If you're in SF, check out Yellow Submarine around 6th and Irving. Killer subs.

I'd say something like a creamy pimento flavor. Not spicy at all.

Might have to try that sometime. My usual sammich is a BMT with lettuce, pickles, mayo, & spicy mustard.

Me too...I'm curious now.

I started asking them for this config on a meatball.

Meatball sub with tomatoes, cucumbers, pickels, and jalapenos....spicy brown mustard and oregano. ---I got the idea for this after having a chicago style hot dog.

BMT lettuce pickles onions and ranch = win

Chicago style hot dogs rule, especially like the peppers and green relish. As for Subway I'll have to try a spicy italian grinder w/southwest sauce.

I saw the thread topic and immediately thought "Southwest sauce".:thumbsup:

I usually have the ingredients listed above, although I prefer yellow pepper over green. Usually go for roast beef.

southwest is certainly good but I love ranch. btw I recommend cucumbers on tuna and turkey subs, they're my new thing.

I was more of a fan of the sweet onion sauce that went on a chicken teryiaki sub.

I found that adding additional oil and vinegor to the veggies and not putting on lettuce makes the sub so much better. Veggies usually were green peppers, tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers, mild peppers, olives.

I like the sweet onion sauce as well, and after reading this thread I'm craving subway...and I haven't eaten yet today...may have to go get some. It makes good hangover food.
