How to improve flat bench press?

I was having the same problem until I decided to switch to a 4 week dumbbell routine. My bench press went up considerably after. Also, try doing front and side lateral raises on shoulder day with low weight and high rep to increase bench press.

I'm not an expert by any means, but this is what has helped me.
