How to find out if there are outstanding arrest warrants?

My friend had a few traffic violations and whatnot, and failed to pay them, and also failed to go to court, just recently the cops showed up at my door asking me if I knew where he was.

I was wondering if there's anyway to find out if there are any outstanding warrants for his arrest without tipping of the cops?

Call any Bail Bond agent. They can tell you what warrants may be out there.

If the cops are looking for him, I think it's safe to say there's a warrant.

I saw one site, but I thought it was a scam.

Do you know of anywhere I could look it up?

@AlienCraft If I call a bail bond agent won't that tip the cops off?

LOL, what kinds of violations? Simple traffic tickets would be a stupid thing to be arrested over.

No. Bail agents are private parties, not necessarily connected with the police.

There's an agent who runs ads here in Sacramento saying basically that.
"Wonder if you have warrants? Then call us and we'll find out and you can remain anonymous."
Good luck with that.

Is this site any good? Or is it just a money pit site?

I doubt they would show up looking for him unless there was a warrant.

If they were showing up just to question him about something they would have said so and also left a card to have him get in contact with the officer handling the case and told you to give him that message most likely. Probably would have handed you a card even if you said I don't know him.

If they were showing up asking "where is X" and then left when he either was not there or you said you didn't know him you can bet 100% there is a warrant outstanding and they were looking to arrest your friend.

Cops don't just show up at your door without cause.

My city has a warrant search page on the Sheriffs website, but I doubt all cities have this. It's a larger city (Tulsa).

Why are YOU getting involved? It's NONE of YOUR business. Tell him to call the Sheriff's office. It they have warrants for him, THEY will already know it...

They did leave a card, and said that if I get in touch with him to have him
contact them.

I'm not the one on here trying to stick my nose into someone else's business. YOU did post the question...IF there are warrants for your friend, the cops already know it. It's in their system. All he has to do is call them and ask...How hard is that? IF he has warrants, he should call his lawyer and make arrangements to turn himself in OR, depending on the warrant, go to court. That'd be much better than getting arrested, slammed onto the ground and cuffed at some inconvenient traffic stop.

Helping a friend isn't exactly what I call sticking my nose into someone else's business.
You shouldn't judge, you don't know all of the circumstances. When discussing something like this I like to be vague, k?

If you have any other harsh comments you can F*ck off. I asked a question, I didn't come here to be scolded.

Admit it, you're the "friend." What the hell do you care whether the cops know or not? I think they would have a good idea if there's a warrant out or not.

bench warrant

I know, I'm wondering what the original violations were. Like, did he fail to show up to provide proof of current insurance, and then a bench warrant was issued? It'd be funny because it's so trivial and irresponsible.
