I tried when I was younger at a friends house to cook a bullet on the stove.
Didn't work out like I thought it would. We were expecting the bullet to shoot at a random direction...but it didn't do anything.

Did you not use oil? You have to use oil.

They make a special device you put the bullet in it, it goes flying pretty far, but you can point it towards the ground or something and then retrieve the bullet. You basically place the bullet in it and then pull the trigger, it's kinda like a drill.

I'm not familiar with such a round. I was curious and googled. I'd advise caution since many seem to be non-standard type 'bullets'. I.e., they have explosive charges in them.
