How to be Hawkeye

I noticed a checklist on the kitchen table this morning that was written by my 7-year-old son. Apparently, he's interested in becoming Hawkeye. It says:

How to be hockeii
- be asom
- have a arow
- have a sut
- cool hare
- not have a smile
- jump of of stuf
- be Avingerer
- be acueret

I cracked up at "not have a smile". 😀

Even better, he included a picture that showed several of these items. I'll try to scan it tonight.

If he were a little older, he'd probably have included the obvious things regarding Black Widow. But perhaps that falls under the category "be asom".

I'm waiting for his sequel, "How to be Iron Man."

EDIT: Here's the original and the picture:

And atrocious grammar and spelling 😀

Let us correct it and mock him for it. Be sure to correct the actual paper that he put up on the fridge too.

EDIT:

How to be hockeii Hawkeye:
- be asom awesome.
- have a arow an arrow.
- have a sut suit.
- have cool hare hair.
- not have a smile never smile.
- jump of off of stuf stuff.
- be Avingerer an Avenger.
- be acueret accurate.

That should be a good start.

Take a picture/scan of it and post it here and reddit.

1. You'll likely have a moderately successful internet meme.

2. You can save it for when he is older and you can embarrass him.

Doesn't 7 put him in 2nd grade?

Shitty spelling even for a 2nd grader. He should at least know how to spell the word "off", and be able to differentiate it from "of"

No, he's in 1st.

I probably shouldn't have expected ATOT to simply enjoy a child's artwork through the eyes of a parent. :eyeroll:

hahaha how adorable. I don't even remember what it was like to be that impressionable. You should get him a bow with suction cup tipped arrows. Soon he'll start to hear the world telling him what he can and cannot do.

Also, What is with Hawkeye and kids?
My SO's 9 year old thinks he is the best Avenger also, and I'm all like, I say thee nay Mortal!

What? And he's been watching a PG-13 movie? Now I have to judge your skills as a parent.

Not that I have to justify myself to you, but I checked Common Sense Media and Kids-In-Mind first to see what they thought. I highly recommend those sites for parents who want to see what's in the movies their kids are watching.

Then, despite watching all the other Marvel movies in the series and finding them rather tame (even for a Christian like myself), I watched the movie myself before I took them. They know what the bad words are (and they know not to say them), and they know what cartoon violence is. The movie wasn't laced with F-bombs and there was very little blood, so I felt it was fine to take them.

Thanks for your concern, however.

Will definitely post it here. Not sure I want it on Reddit! 🙂

EDIT: If it is indeed meme-worthy, I don't think I can STOP it from being on Reddit! 😀

I know, right? Considering my youngest (the 7-year-old) has a Captain America shield, I thought for sure that Cap would be his favorite.

I think my oldest (he's 9) likes Iron Man the best. Will ask him tonight.

I read that as 'have a slut'. 😛
