I usually wake up at least 3 or 4 times during the night. Roll over, and fall back asleep within 5 minutes. I thought this was normal, but my friend seems to think it's indicative of some type of sleeping disorder.

So, how many times do you wake up in the night?

I believe it's a type of insomnia. I've done it as many as 20 times a night. Typically, I'll sleep a solid 3-4 hours and then wake up 6+ times the rest of the night.

Very roughly estimating, I'd say 20% of the time I sleep straight through, 20% of the time I wake up once to use the bathroom and 60% of the time I wake up 3-4 times but fall asleep again within seconds.

Half the time, I sleep through the night. The rest of the time, I'll wake up once to go to the bathroom.

I have noticed that when I'm really tired, such as at the end of the week, or after a particularly hard workout, I can sleep a full 9 hours without interruption.

I sleep straight through. When I lived in California, I would only wake up for big earthquakes, none of that small potatoes business.

If I have a blanket and heavy comforter (weight is nice for my sleeping), I'll sleep the whole night through. If not, I wake up for a minute or two on an hourly basis starting at around 7-8 AM going until I get up between 10 and noon.

A couple of times. I have to be really tired, as in just finished an all nighter, to get a chance at sleeping all the way through. The worst thing is that it usually takes at least half an hour to get back to sleep cause my mind won't shut up.

Holy hell. Somebody found my most ridiculous post sig-worthy. o_O Keeping on topic though, I'm thinking about seeing the doctor about this. However, I'm not willing to really take medication for it. I exercise regularly, eat well, don't have any caffeine intake, etc. General anxiety runs in my family, but those are usually characterized by difficulty falling asleep, not difficulty staying asleep.

I sleep well when my wife is not snoring and her chihuahua is sleeping with one of our kids. Last night was NOT a good night. :(

I toss and turn all night long and usually get up to take a piss a couple of times over the course of the night. I honestly can't remember the last time I slept through an entire 8 hours of sleep uninterrupted.

I sleep all the way through, unless I'm sleeping for more than 9/10 hours. If it's more than 10 hours, I will wake up once every 30min or so.

Wake up about 5 times at night. Once to go to the bathroom. On weekends when I sleep a little bit later, I have to get up twice to go to the bathroom. I was thinking too, that I have a sleeping disorder.

I don't usually get up to go to the bathroom. I try not to take in fluids particularly before bedtime, in order to avoid that.

I do turn over quite a few times during the night. Usually I don't really wake up but I'm conscious of turning over, at least I think I am whenever I do that.

Sometimes I sleep a lot better than others. Many times I wake up and decide to stop trying to sleep and get up and do things for a while, then go back to sleep when I feel sleepy again. I prefer not to do that, though. I don't have trouble getting to sleep, almost ever when I first hit the sack. My only sleep problems are when I wake up and can't get back to sleep shortly thereafter.

Well its hard to say, Im sure sometimes I wake up a few times and dont remember it. Usually the only reason I wake up is if I need to go to the bathroom. Although sometimes i have quite a struggle getting to sleep.

Oh also another question, anyone ever talk, or walk in their sleep. Had a few times where people told me I would say random stuff while I was a sleep but that was a few years ago. You guys who wake up frequently, are you light sleepers, do you usually wake up from outside simitlus or just randomly. Im a really deep sleeper, ive had people yell and me and poke me without waking up.

it's normal, don't worry about it.
and don't stress about it, because the more you stress, the more it's going to keep you awake.

I usually sleep through the night, and rarely wake up to pee. I get pretty sound sleep though usually. I dream very vividly pretty much every night.

At least 5 times every night. On the rare occasion I sleep through the night I consider it a miracle.
