For example, humans used to have a much smaller average height only a few hundred years ago, I would be curious to see what another 1000 years brings.

An abundance of food is not a convincing argument. I think any mid-income person could afford more food than they'd ever want to eat but people still haven't grown as large as dinosaurs.

At least get it right if you're gonna try. You're just referring to the "Christian" son of god. Monotheism though, has existed for much more than 2000 years.

So...it was more like 3000 years ago that we invented god then?

Even more, but that is obviously beside the point.

We haven't had as much time to evolve? Besides that, we have a relative intellectual advantage, as well as our culture, science and things like that. Otherwise, we are slowly getting larger thanks to nutritional advantages.

Reptiles never stop growing. So if they were given ideal living situations, they could grow to enormous proportions.

Or, ya, uh, just give a snails hundreds of trillions of years and through natural selection and magic benefitial mutations they'll gradually get really big then get really small and turn into birds.

Before the flood there was a lot more oxygen in the atmosphere and probably higher air pressure too, IIRC.

Experiments show these conditions result in deluxe size animals.

That *may* be true, but someday, you'll realize that there are a lot of people on these forums smarter than you are, or at least more knowledgeable on diverse topics.

I would venture to guess that the population of dinosaurs were such to support larger animals. plus on those very large ones were not meat eaters but plant eaters and liked eating off of very tall trees so they needed to be big to reach them.

Depends on the mid-income person.

Probably because people hunt them for sport.

To be fair, there ARE a lot of people who just post their best guess. While the best guesses of smart people are better on average than dumb people, it's still no guarantee.

....but yeah, I agree.

something that caused a mass extinction. my guess is a meteor followed by months of darkness. the smaller animals had a better chance of surviving.

Well we already have 900 pound people being carried around on forklifts. Id say we are getting close!

Those individuals aren't genetically viable. They can't mate due to their penis disappearing in between fat layers.

Man that must be rough. Can you tell us what its like?

If walruses can do it, then so can 900lb humans. The ladies have it easy though, just throw some flour on her and find the wet spot.

-1 billion points for the "ultra original" flour on wet spot.

got any titanic jokes?
