I'm kind of curious, how do you think with regards to your political beliefs - how should one live their life? What books should they read?

I lol at your question . But it really not funny . In todays world much choice has been removed from the way we HAVE to live inorder to survive;
Much of the evil in the world is the pursuit of money and power .

Today if you lack money your survival is doubt. 150years ago this was not so.

Inorder to live today we all make money our god. How it came to this I am not sure . But logic tells me were on a ship . On that ship is a captain . His set course puts not only our lives in danger but our own spirit. Until mutiny on the bounty occurs . This course won't change and the wickedness of the captain endurred. Until that time your question is mute and falls on death ears. But their is a Change coming. You either embrace it or be cast in to ever lasting torment.

By reason, in a small r republican way (sovereign and for societal advancement). Preferably reading Aristotle, Cicero, Hobbes, Locke, the Federalist Papers and Deuteronomy... among others.

It's either that or whores and blow.

Generally speaking, I think you should strive to:

1) Crush your enemies.
2) See them driven before you.
3) Hear the lamentation of their women.

Just general things.....

Make lists. Seriously about everything, shit gets done.

Treat others as you want to be treated.

If someone comes down on you come down on them like a ton of bricks. They'll pick an easier target next time or hopefully learned their lesson.

Pay now or pay later but you Willl pay. Meaning if you work hard early in school work and whatnot you will live pretty conformable later in life. If you're lazy earlier on you will pay later in poverty and worrying.

This last one was one of my dads favorite expressions and now I use it on mine.

Not doing homework - "Pay now or pay later but you Will pay." with being a flunky test failing idiot
Not giving 100% in batting practice - "Pay now or pay later but you Will pay." with strikeouts

and so on...:p

My opinion:

I believe in individual liberty, so I don't object to people living their lives according to whatever peaceful ethos they wish.

I find this piece of advise to be quite interesting:

There are a million paths in life and they all lead nowhere. Choose a path that has a heart.

----------

You must understand the tremendous danger you are in by self reflection and understanding of the nature of thought. Thought is an abstraction, an analysis based on words that flow in your head, words that carry symbol and feeling acquired before you could reason and see the lies they contained. We learned young via pain to believe there is good and evil and that what came natural to us was unacceptable, that we could not be an evil child that wanted love, but a giver of comforting conformity, a robot to supply parental expectations.

See that thought is fear, that thought is division, that thought is the put down of expectation, the agent of alertness, the sword that defends you and keeps you from memory of that pain. Thought is the division that divides us, the abstraction that created the ego, the guiltless one who is not evil, the searcher and seeker of truth, the analysis who by separation from the true self that was put down, pretends to be above and transcendent.

Thought creates our prison as does every thought to escape. This is the danger thought needs to see. All thought to escape the prison is the desire to maintain it. Thought is misery. Thought says, you are a prisoner, a worthless person as you are, and must get free by reaching some goal, any goal will do. You must be a better person, you must lose weight, get more education, strive for wealth, anything you are not. Thought is the whip of endless self flagellation, of endless self discontent. And think however much you will you can't ever escape.

Thought leads to hopelessness. There is no escape. Come to the end of the rope of thought and wait. Suffer the hopelessness you find there. Give up and die. You can do nothing. Let all hope wash away in the certainty you will suffer endlessly.

There is a big surprise waiting for those who disappear.

And that's why I believe in God.

Or at least one of the reasons.

let me see...I have it written down somewhere...

No one has the answer to this question...this is a quest that no one has figured out and it is unlikely even if one individual really figured it out for themselves that it would apply to their neighbor.

This is the only book you need, tells you how to live your religious, political, and personal life. Also tells you how to treat women and run your economy.

Go to school and learn a useful trade. Work hard or work smart any way you can. Get married, raise children, and believe in a brighter tomorrow. Reading the Bible and Book of Mormon might help. Pray for yourself, your family, your friends, your enemies and for the country/world. Pay 10% Tithing to God, from which all good things come. Fast and donate food money to the poor and afflicted.

Leave people the fuck alone until they fuck with your life.

Seeing as how the modern America is so complicated and interconnected, its hard deciding when that actually happens.
Because of how health care works, fat dumb people, incredibly stupid people, and lazy dirt bag thieving people all potentially ruin my life when they acquire health care services they cant afford and shouldn't necessarily be using. If they cant pay then the hospital just charges me more. Or the government taxes me more.

Religious folks who honestly believe they are helping me by morally crusading for my soul often fall into the category of screwing with my life.
Ditto folks who are afraid of guns and think the federal or state government should do something about it.

And I've already stated my opinion multiple times on illegal aliens and Americans who support them in various ways.

So depending on how I see these interconnections, most of the country is trying to fuck with my life. And if I carry that to the extreme, I really cant leave too many people the fuck alone.

This is why its better to simply stop caring. If you care you will get upset that things dont go well. Then you watch too much porn to get your mind off it.

Stay away from religion and learn lots of stuff about reality. You'll be happier, wealthier, and smarter.

How should one live their lives? Either one after or another or consecutively, that is the question. Whether is nobler of the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of an outrageous fortune nine lives at a time, or by spacing them one after another take arms nine times four score and seventy years against them.
