How should I shave?

Hey ATOT, so I have been using these really cheap two bladed razors, but they're kinda lame and I used them up, so now I am about to purchase some Bics Flex4s.

Anyone use these and have a good experience?

Also, should I be shaving against the grain all around my face? I usually aim the the razor tail up when shaving my neck and lower face area, but should I apply this technique to my entire face?

Thoughts appreciated.

A closer shave can usually be gotten by shaving against the grain, although it is also easier to cut yourself doing that as well. :p

I have a two bladed razor you can use -- it's called myleftandrightfists, and it will do an excellent job removing things from your face. Everyone knows this.

I only go against the grain on my upper lip, otherwise I get terrible razor burn. Wish I could do it everywhere.

Inb4 razor snobs.

(I know, it's hilarious that these people exist - they're like flashlight snobs)

Flashlight snobs aren't as bad as fleshlight snobs.

But really what you shave with should be based on how close of shave you want in a given time frame.

Get a double edge razor. With some skill you can get a closer shave and save a lot of $$ on blades compared to disposables and/or cartridge razors.

First, you need to grow facial hair. Report back when that starts happening.

I use a Mach 3. One pass with the grain, then back up against the grain.

If I don't shave against the grain, I'll still have visible stubble right after shaving.

I switched to a DE and I love it much better than the disposables. Does take a bit of getting used to, though.

I like the shave you get from a double edge razor, but it just takes so much longer than with a Mach 3.

Depending on the length of the hair, you might need to shave once with the grain before lathering up again and shaving against the grain. Against the grain will get you the closest shave, right?

Disposable razors are EPIC. They don't cost a fortune, they don't follow stupid trendy fads that the general populace is dumb enough to fall for ($12 for 4 head replacements?!)

If you care to try it, Schick has a lady's line of razors that does a GREAT job. The blades are at a different angle than their men's line and they work like a charm.
