How secure does everyone feel about their jobs????

Relatively insecure. 75% of my coworkers (project managers in a mixed IT/manufacturing environment) have either left and not been replaced or have been laid off in the past 18 months (had 45, now have 10). The good news is that the businesses we support are bitching because there aren't enough PMs to manage all of the current projects underway (never mind the funded projects set to kickoff in Q2). The bad news is that the senior management my organization is dominated by ex-software developers that have little use for the PMO, and little respect for the work project managers do.

We went through a round of layoff in November.

The 2nd round of layoffs finished up yesterday. I still have a job.

I've been here 11 years, but I was still stressed out during this last layoff round. I'm the only tester left, so I really hope they don't decide that the developers can test their own output.

We have a company meeting at 10am PST, so we'll be informed if there are any other "organizational changes" coming.

Crap, we just found out there is a 15% pay cut for everyone that is left. Time to shut down the 401k contributions, especially since they stopped matching last year.
