Have you not been paying attention to Europe that tried austerity to get outta this mess and are worse off than the US and bringing down the global market.

Perhaps you might be aware that the US is not Europe, and that "austerity" (what a stupid name for a simple concept, bringing spending in line with available money) is the right long term answer. Long term answer doesn't mean painless. Chemo makes you feel very very sick, but in the long term it could keep you alive.

every single piece of evidence that shows that the liberal approach works and the conservative approach fails (which would be the only kind of evidence that exists)?

Actually, the "liberal approach" (spend spend spend and spend some more!) is what got us into this mess to begin with. Note that republicans engaged in the "liberal approach" as well. You don't get $15 trillion in the hole by living within your means.

Nice empty rant- your standard method of pseudo-argument.

Address the points specifically, if you will. Otherwise, you merely demonstrate your own denial.

I could go point by point and show the fallacies, idiotic assumptions and plain failed reasoning, but there's no point in that. The article does not hide the fact that it's pure political hackery. Cherry picked data, used to show how made up strawman positions (supposedly held by the GOP) are bad, slathered with a nice helping of over-simplification of complex issues. It's meant to get gullible lefties to slobber all over it, and I'm sure it accomplishes that just fine.

Obtusity. There was no claim, there was projection, as was clearly stated at the time. Honest disclaimers were released *with* the graph you posted. They basically said "Here's a graph of what our best thinking tells us it will look like with the ARRA. We think it will be a lot worse without the ARRA. Other sources think it may be higher or lower, but this is our best estimate."

They were over optimistically mistaken, and have admitted to such. Repubs merely nay-sayed the whole effort, and have made false claims about it ever since, your own little vendetta among them.

Votes? What votes? The whole thing took place *after* the election, making that argument desperate indeed.

Ya, ya know votes, what congress had to do to get the stimulus passed. Vote on it.
