So I just checked each one of those, and only 1 has any shot in hell of actually being elected.

That vast majority either lost or will lose the primary to their GOP opponent or got on the ballot unopposed in solid blue districts the GOP isn't even trying in.

Only one stands a any chance of being elected and probably will be elected. And that is Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Still. Incumbents including Trump have mainstreamed this batshit enough it is bigger than it has ANY logical right to be. Frighteningly big, actually.

i mean wtf...

BS. I suspect cults like this have been around since the cave man days. I know for a fact that they existed in 70's, 80's and 90's, well before the rise of internet or even home computers. For example, up posse comitatus and/or Tigerton Dells-a bogus town these snowflakes created in WI in the 1980s. Nutjobs don't need facebook and the like to exist, but they make it easier to find simpaticos.

Old man voice: 14,400 modem? Poor baby. I was on a modem (mostly 300 bps) until the late 90's when internet finally came to my town. And I personally have absolutely no desire to go back Windows 3 or earlier (before they had a graphics shell).

Ok, ok.. If you wanna go all BBS on me, I started using a C=64 with a 300 bps, 1 1570 3 1/2" drive and 1 1580 5 1/4" drive.

Boebert has a chance of being elected.

Her opponent is quite progressive, not necessarily the right fit for the district, which is traditionally somewhat conservative-

these millions of QAnon followers are completely civically useless people.

To any European ATOT'ers, is it this bad in various European countries? I have EU citizenship and may need to vacate this land of dum dums.

Hahaha, nope! Not by a long shot!

Of course we have our wackjobs too, here and there. But never have I seen anything even remotely similar to what's being described in this thread and others. The U.S. seems completely fucked, honestly. I don't see how you can fix something so pervasively screwed up. Any attempts at "fixing", educating people, exposing them to the truth and so on would just be interpreted as yet another layer in the conspiracy. It would be self-defeating. There's like half a generation's worth of lost people floating around out there who can't be redeemed. Even bleeding heart libs fall for conspiratorial bullshit like antivaxx hysteria for example.

If you're thinking of emigrating, I just hope your other citizenship isn't either Polish or Hungarian though. These countries have big problems as well, but they're of the more traditionally brown-smelling Fascist flavor rather than these lunatic (sadly non-fringe) conspiracies.

I'm a citizen through Cyprus, which is where my parents are from, I was born in the US. Unfortunately I'm just daydreaming - right now I'm a real estate agent where I benefit from being in an area I am familiar with, but if in a few years I can expand my horizons, I would definitely like to get out of here, the stupid is just too draining. Luckily I live a couple miles from Manhattan in New Jersey so I'm at least a bit of a blue bubble, but you don't have to get too far out of the city before the dumbest of the Trumptards are ingrained into the landscape.

Have you ever been to Cyprus yourself? It's an amazingly beautiful island. Amazingly awesome food too, like pretty much anyplace around the euro/middle-eastern sides of the mediterranean. Dunno african cuisine, but it's probably effin great too, the vegs and spices you can grow in that climate beat the crap out of anything you get in northern europe taste-wise (and likely when it comes to nutrition too, heh.)

Sorry for the sidetrack, people. I will return to depressing reality now... :)

Yes I was there last year and I've been there many times over the years, even brought a couple girlfriends there lol

Indeed the place is beautiful and the local cuisine is fantastic. It helps the island is so small and that makes so many of the ingredients local and fresh, from the produce to the meat. Where in Europe are you from? I've seen different swaths of European tourists there - of course the Brits were huge due to us being a former colony. Twenty years ago the Scandinavian youth was prominent in Ayia Napa for the garage club scene that was briefly ascending the ranks of the Mediterranean party scene until it kind of crashed. I made it there for one of the peak years though and I've never seen so many beautiful women in one small area as I saw in Ayia Napa that summer. I've seen a decent amount of Germans in the Paphos area, and now a lot of the areas are overrun with Russians. So much Russian money in Limassol and some other cities there.

They've literally been brainwashing a generation of their kids to believe they're being trained for a literal coming war. Its not a coincidence that there was a similar deep vein of crazy occult thinking in the Nazis. They wanted to use it for their advantage, but the American conservatives think they're waging war against it. Its all bullshit both ways, but it causes very real consequences because of what it does to the brains of those that believe it.

There's a documentary about one of the camps that they send their kids to where they're taught this type of shit. Its like a deliberate weaponized version of the Satanic Panic. And most people don't even seem to be aware of it at all, while these people are everywhere.

I work with one of them. Was told, without a hint of irony that this person could sense and talk to dead people. They haven't been back to work yet (some people have been back for I think 4 months now, and if I had to guess they are refusing to wear a mask - which is mandatory to come back to work). I have a strong hunch they were at the one Turmp rally at the big church down here.

I don't know if people on here heard about the insane story about this crazy woman down here. She genuinely believes she's some messiah figure. Had her brother kill her ex husband, the wife of her new husband, and her two kids. There's a LOT more of these type of people out there than I think people realize.

Down here being Phoenix area.

Jesus Camp

Yeah, watching that was both depressing and horrifying. On the bright side, me and my wife followed up and it looks like at least a few kids featured in that documentary managed to escape the cultish ways of their parents. Not all of them though.

Thanks, and yep that's the one. Some of those camps are huge too. And a bunch of them are disguised as just normal religious camps (meaning they don't openly espouse their insanity).

Those are the woke people conservatives aren't worried about.

Edit: I'm referring to the indoctrinators, the people who broke free will be lucky to live their lives without any fallout. The brainwashing is real.
