I have no idea. I don't keep track of my perscription strength. That's what i go to the eye doctor for.

Neither do I, but on my contacts box it says...

-1.50

And it's the same for both eyes.

yeah..i don't wear contacts. so that's probably why i don't know.

Ahh, I love my contacts.. I've only been wearing them for ~2 years, but I can't go back to glasses.

-1.25 OS (left eye)

uncorrectable 20/200+ vision OD (right eye) ..... congenital defect in my right eye's retina and it's like looking through a lens with vaseline smeared over it...............things are shaprer in my peripheral vision in that eye, but not tremendously.

Last time it was tested it was 20/15 .... about 5 or 6 years ago .... I'm probably closer to 20/20 nowadays though ....

How does this method of rating vision work? With the -#'s and all... chinese people tend to talk about vision in terms of degrees... I don't really know what they stand for, but the higher the poorer vision.

I've never gotten my eyes checked in my life, but my right eye is significantly worse than my left so I really should...

:Q

WTH that is near blind! -5.50 both eyes here.
I'm in the same boat.

-7.75R, -7.25L

I got my first set of glasses in the 4th grade, finally got my first set of contacts in the 7th and have wore those even since. I still have a pair of glasses that I wear around the house and occasionaly out and about, they're coke-bottle thick even though they're the feather-weight ultra-thin type...

That's not quite as bad as mine. I'm -9 for contacts in both eyes. I'm near sided and I can't even really read a book...

My eye doctor though was -15 before he had cataracts surgery.

Actually, I turn 50 next month. I should have bifocals myself, but I shall never wear them!!! When I need to read, I take off the glasses...........distance, put them on. But lots of light sure helps, and soemtimes ultrasmall print gives me fits.

Last time I had my eyes examined was almost 4 years ago. Back then it was about -2.75 and -3.25

Even though it's been so long I don't really feel like it's been getting worse. I do stare at the screen all day long at work and sometimes at home. LCD screen helps to slowdown the worsening effect I think.
