I don't know exactly how poor my vision is, but I've had glasses since I was in fifth grade (9 years ago), and I really should have had them before that. Let's just say that if I take off my glasses right now, my monitor is a complete blur at less than two feet away.

I'm in the same boat.

-7.75R, -7.25L

I got my first set of glasses in the 4th grade, finally got my first set of contacts in the 7th and have wore those even since. I still have a pair of glasses that I wear around the house and occasionaly out and about, they're coke-bottle thick even though they're the feather-weight ultra-thin type...
