How picky are you about the car that you drive? If it functions from point A to point B is it good enough or does every little detail have to be just right for your personality and driving style?
I've been bugged lately by my car, but only by little things. I love the car's style, color, interior options, comfort, and sound (with an aftermarket exhaust). I've got a Plum Crazy Purple Dodge Challenger R/T Auto. I've been bugged lately though because I wish it was a 6-speed. When I bought my car I'd never driven a manual and I decided I needed a winter beater so I got a 2000 Mazda Protege manual. I figured it would just be a useful skill and helpful in winter, but it turns out manual is a ton of fun even in the Protege. The manual has the fun factor but it runs lower rpms at highway speed so you can get a good sound out of the car and have a nicer ride at 75mph.
So how picky are you about your car's style, interior, comfort, handling, manual or auto transmission. I'm guessing some of you have to have at least one or two of the items to be happy but some of you have to feel you have the whole package.
My situation, I can afford the car as is fine, but I can't take the hit on trade-in without being irresponsible with my amount of debt. I might sell it private party and just drive the beater a year or two. I'd like to eventually go to a car payment under $250 or pay for my future cars in cash. I just hate to give up so much I appreciate with the car for one thing I question. I figure maybe it'd be helpful to hear from others about their preferences and what goes or stays in the garage.
So comment on my situation or your own. What do you have to have, want to have, or could care less about in a car.
