if you had to guess, when do you think you'll kick the bucket?

i always figured i'd die young, my doctor warned me that i probably would die earlier than normal.

for a long time i expected in my 50s, but now with a bunch of inexplicable health problems, i don't expect to make it out of my 40s. maybe even my 30s.

Have we not already established this about you? ;)

And on-topic I completely agree ... I want no advance-warning whatsoever.

So, you want to die peacefully in your sleep....not screaming and crying like everybody else in the car? ;)

Personally, I don't feel like it matters how old I am when I die since I'll be, you know, dead at the time.

I'm gonna go with 80. My father was 76 when he died. I should get a few more years since I grew up with better stuff, but take some off since I don't go to the doctor. 80 seems about right.

Shit happens, life happens. Just hope I have enough life insurance to cover for the wife and kids if I pass early.

I'm hoping 50s minimal since I recently entered my 30s. Ideally in the next few years hoping to get my life in order a bit better and I'd be more confident in saying that I can live to 70+

I'm an OCD person that likes routine - and when you have 2 kids (especially young ones) it's havoc. There is constant chaos. There isn't any routine at any time - and it definitely has its stress points. Predicting your sleep hours and planning to wake up early and exercise? lol keep dreaming. So I'm hoping as the kids get a bit older and self-sufficient that I can bring back routine and order.

As the father of an 8 year old and a 14 year old all I can say is.....

Hahahahahahahahaha....

*breath*

Hehehehehehehe...

Ahhhhhhh.

Good luck there mate!

Ugh, - at least at those ages I can tell them to do some of the shit themselves... and can (hopefully) leave them at home.

Theres nothing that sucks more than wanting to go somewhere or get something done and there is just a baby sleeping and you literally can't do anything other than stay.

Eh, YMMV, one of mine is an adult and the other will be there soon, and I didn't think it was that difficult to get routine and order established once they were older.
Self-sufficiency too, by the time they're like 11-13 they should be able to cook a simple dinner for the family once a week (tacos, spaghetti, etc)

I used to think my early 50s. My dad died in his early 50s and so did four of his brothers. So I took out 20 year term life insurance in my early 30s to protect my wife and daughter in case the same happened to me. I still have years left on that policy. Hopefully I won't die and my wife won't be able to collect and we'll grow old together into our 80s. That's my dream.

I'll be as old as I'll ever get and not one day older.

Based on my peeps history, I'm shooting to make it into my 60's at least. Prob won't last much longer than that and my diabeetus is just accelerating things. My wife OTH will prob go out in her 90s. Something about her line keeps them ticking.

I could see myself push 90 as long as I don't run into any weird health issue. I'm in my 30's still look young, my hair is still red... and I still HAVE hair, and feel generally good. I'd like to think that's a sign I'm aging slowly. Don't know if it really means anything though. That said, heart issues are in the family... so if I get that too then I probably won't make it that far. My dad started having issues at 39 and I'm frightingly getting near that. 33 now but time goes by so fast now 40s are not really that far. My dad is in his mid 60's and still doing ok though after going through a bypass and many angioplasties in his life.
