Yeah, that's true. I did get a few certifications and a decent paying I.T. job so I'm doing as well as all my college graduate peers..

 
I think I was 21. (quick math..) yeah, I was 21. for a whole nother month. 😛.

I graduated 2 quarters early.. but I went full time 3 summers to do it so technically I went one quarter over..

Well, it's "Gates", but that's OK.............(snicker, snicker)

I finished a community college version of an 'Associates' education that cost me all of about $8K. (Books & all)

I make more than every single one of my peers except one.......and half of them have at least one degree. (One of my buddies has easily a $100K education & makes about $45K)

I will admittedly say that the other half didn't even go to college, but I have a couple buddies who barely finished high school by the skin of their teeth & one is managing a Costco & making well over $50K and the other started his own business right outta' high school & is makin' damn near what my wife & I make combined!!!!!
 
Not to burn anyone that did not finish school but I hear lot of them tell me that if Bill "Gates" did not finish school and look at him now. All I saw is that you're not Bill Gates. Bill actually went to Harvard for three years before dropping out to start a company call Microsoft. Again, no offense but those people got to stop comparing themselves to someone they?re not.
 
I'll be 23... I'm old for my grade and am going to be here for 5 years (a la a 5 semester elementary education program that you don't start until fall or spring of your junior year).
 
I am 35 almost 36 and I haven't finished yet. I don't know if I will finish. I only need to go a semister or 2 to graduate. I don't know what I am going to do with my life. I feel lost most of the time. I need to find something I like doing and pays well, but where I live there isn't anything like that around and I can't afford to move. I hope something will come along in the not to distant future for me. My life could be a lot worse, so I am thankful for what I have.

Yes, I agree that high-school dropouts should probably try & get their GED, but if they're motivated..............to be honest............it doesn't necessarily matter.

Last client I talked to today was a guy who mfgrs. parts for various companies including Toro/Rainbird........(Yes, those little plastic sprinkler doohickies you buy at HD for a buck?).............

Well, I recall a few months ago making a snide remark about a guy I work with who can't spell to save his life & though he's bilingual, can't speak either language well enough to talk himself out of a paper bag.................but anyway..................I suggested he probably didn't finish high school & the guy answered me.......

"Ya, I should probably do that someday myself!"

I choked on my words.

Needless to say this guy is yet another example......(of many)..........who are less than BS/BA totin' personas who are making a disgusting amount of money in the world today. I got a look at this guy's books when I helped him w/ his network this summer 'cuz he wanted me to come work for him................Let's just say he makes enough money to not have to "want" to be Bill Gates. That's for damn sure!

Had I've stayed in college, I would be graduating this May at age 21.

If I knew then what I know now...

If I go back this coming Spring (like I "plan" on doing), I would probably graduate in 2009 at age (gulp!) 25.

Would be 21 if it weren't for a year of co-oping.

Would be 20 if it weren't for the above and the bullshit general stuff from my freshman year.
