21: Been with PCs since they went 3D, stuck with it since. However, I tried to "escape" 3 times: once almost getting a Dreamcast upon its death, another trying for an Xbox or PS2 and the time I got a Gameboy Advance I played 2 games on then never touched again.

Oh, and nice parabolic distribution.

Dang! I shyed away from responding to this thread but now that I see so many others my age, I don't feel so bad. I too am 38. My wife gives me a huge guilt trip when I play games. She would much rather I sit there and watch the idiot box. I try to explain to her that gaming keeps me up to date on PC's technology etc which is not total BS. Games push systems and you need to know about the OS, hardware, etc.

I too had the Atari 2600! I played Intellivsion as well. I always wanted but never got the Commadore 64. I did meet one of the founders of Commadore which was pretty cool. He has mega bucks and llives in the Bahamas.

Right now I am into WoW and COD. I usually play an hour or so after work unless I have other activities planned. Its all about balance.

31 and I play as much as my job and other obligations will allow. Gaming is one of my hobbies, but I only play on the PC now.

My first real PC game was The Bard's Tale, which I absolutely loved and played to death.

31, first pc games were the demos of UT and Q3 in 2000. Played UT to death, bought it, no looking back at consoles. UT3!!!!!

27 and been gaming since about age 10. I can't wait until I retire - in another 28 years the games will be sick and I hopefully won't be. That's when I'll get some serious time in...

Bard's Tale was great! Didn't the term Zerg come from the Berzerker's in the Bard's tale? I remember something about a Berzerker rage which was when the Berzerker's, well went Berzerk and went on a super melee attack.

Anyone play Vengence of the Kilrathi or Privateer? Those were two great games. Neither was multi-player from what I remember but the storyline and graphics for a mid 1990 game were excellent.

Not exactly high level graphics but a neat game for 1983... Geez, I am getting old.

I'm 29 and I would say my generation grew up with the gaming explosion. Atari 2600 and NES anyone? Got into PC gaming a little later than many of my friends, but my first 3D accelerator was a Voodoo II 8MB card by Creative Labs.

I've owned or still own the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Playstation 2, Nintendo Wii, and a very capable gaming PC (Q6600, 4GB, X1900XTX). Anymore, the PC gets all the RTS, FPS, and racing action. The Playstation 2 makes for some quality RPG, fighting games, and general platformer games. The Wii allows me to visit the Nintendo franchise exclusives, check out what I missed by skipping the Gamecube for a PS2, play some retro games on my big screen, and play some easier games with my 4year old son.

These games started it for me.

C&C, Total Annihilation, Shadow Warrior Deathmatch, Warcraft 2....oh man those were the days. Had an AMD 233Mhz with 96MB of SODIMMs, and purchased a 10/100mB 3Com card to get in on a friend's LAN party. I've been addicted ever since.
