I shower daily and if I am particulary sweaty from working in the yard in the summer or whatever then I will take another. I don't drink coffee but I do need that shower to "jump start" me in the morning. I feel so refreshed afterward.

We're fortunate to have the means of bathing daily. Prior to the 1800s it wasn't uncommon for them to go SIX MONTHS without a bath. Then when that special day came the man of the house was first followed by the rest of the family bathing in progressively worth filth. The poor kids. Ugh. From what I've read this is where the expression "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" came from. It meant the water was so grungy after the children were done that you couldn't see in it so concievably you could toss out your child with the dirty water. 😉
