Several times throughout the day. I use Notepad to write simple notes. I use calc a few times a day as well. I have keyboard shortcuts for Notepad and Calc.

Notepad not often at home, but often at work (instead of writing stuff down on paper). Calc once in a while at work, but often at home (in combination with Cheat Engine ;) )

Calc at least once a day at work... hardly ever at home.

Notepad... used to be 6-7 times a day at least at work... I've recently replaced it with the free version of EditPad though... at home I use the free version of EditPad... but much less often than at work.

At work I have 2 or 3 notepads open at a time, maybe one calc now and then. At home more calc than notepad.

Notepad++ FTW!

I use calculator occasionally, but not every day. Almost never use notepad unless I'm on a system that doesn't have a good text editor installed.

I use notepad mostly on serves since we don't purchase text editors. On my desktop I typically use UltraEdit. I use a cheapo solar powered calculator or Excel.

calc I don't use all that often, simple calculations I'll do in my head ... more complicated I have gotten lazy and just entered the equation right into google ...

I use the calculator fairly frequently... probably 2-3 times in an average day.

I open up notepad once/day during the week; I keep a running log of what I do at work every day. I don't use notepad at all at home.

Notepad quite frequently.

I used to use calc a lot but in recent years I've installed DQSD on all my PC's and use it, when needed, for math and also for it's date/time/calendar feature. Surprisingly I seldomly use it for the search or any of the bajillion other little things it does.

I went through some withdrawl when I installed Vista 64, as DQSD was not supported but there is a beta now which seems to work fine and all is good again.

Rarely and never

Notepad is mildly useful for short notes

calc.exe is only useful if you can't add two numbers in your head. For anything more difficult, there's Google Calculator. It even deals with complex numbers. For instance, type sqrt(-2) into google and see what it gives you. It's a lot easier to open a new browser window and type out expressions as long as I want than to screw with calc.exe
