Went for a few warts a couple months ago. Before that was when I was 13 which was 8 or 9 years ago. I didn't actually need the doctor in the end, my body got rid of the warts on its own.
My family doctor...haven't seen him in almost 3 years.
My knee surgeon, 3 times this year, just got notified the insurance company wants me to go see him again.
My neurosurgeon (back) I haven't seen since 06, but my pain management doc I usually see 4 times per year for epidurals, and follow-up visits another 4 times per year.
Mandatory annual PHA, otherwise I'd prefer to avoid the hassle. I've got my health at the moment, so not much of a concern anyhow. In the cases that I have done something stupid and injured myself, it didn't involve breaking anything and I'm pretty fed up with the nuisance of seeing anyone for soft-tissue injuries when treatment entails what would amount to "don't put pressure on it" anyhow. It you can't walk it off, then hobble it off
I have not gone to a doctor of any kind since about... July/August of 2008? It was a... doctor of some bones though... I had broken my wrist.
Anyway, I don't have any health insurance now. So even if I wanted to go, I couldn't. Sad times... I want to go to a dentist(I need my teeth cleaned!) and optometrist(I need a new prescription so I can get new glasses and/or contacts) so bad. >.<
from 2004 - May 2009 I didn't go to an MD, went to a DO for annual cleanings. Since May 09 I've been to the MD like 5 or 6 times cause I hurt my shoulder & knee and have been in PT, so I need to go back for reassessments cause insurance has clamped down on the # of PT visits.
You're not paying for your 2 doctor's visit every year, you're paying for the chance that something will happen that could run up a massive bill. People seem to forget this.
used to be every couple years, maybe. i've been going to the doctor for recurring issues for a few years now, probably once every month or two, except for the six months where i had no health insurance.
