Never, although I should occasionally. A guy I work with, however, defrags his work computer every 2 freaking days, no matter what I tell him. He's ignorant.
The drive that Windows Media Center 2005 records TV show is scheduled to run Norton Speed Disk (2k5) every night @ 4am, it's a 450GB raid array, so it's usually just finishing by the time I wake up. The other 2 drives, I defrag as needed (every couple weeks)
almost never. once my system starts getting crapped up I reghost from a clean image 🙂 I then update that image with the latest patches before saving it off for later.
I haven't done it once since I installed windows a few months ago. I tried to the other day, and it stuck at 1% on the same file for my entire 6 hour shift at work. Uh-oh. It's not too fragmented right now.
