You're supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces... so if you're 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces (6 bottles) of water.

How much do you drink?

Ever since I stopped drinking soda, I can't stop drinking water. I'd say I drink more than a gallon a day. Or it feels like it.

I always have a full cup of water on my desk. (I sit literally 10 feet from our water cooler in my office.)

Not nearly enough. Plus I tend to drink quite a bit, and drink pop at work, so I'm sure I ain't getting enough. Straight water (not counting from foods), I probably drink two glasses a day or so.

I force myself to drink 100 oz per day, and since I've done that, I've felt SO much better. My urine is no longer yellow (sorry to be graphical), and I don't get headaches, and actually, my blood pressure these past weeks has been better.

Just a side comment. Its interesting.

in high school, all I did was drink pop, multiple cans per day and never touched water. Was that was my whole life. Bad idea. In college now, and all last year I learned I needed to drink a lot of water to I was hydrated so I didn't pass out during PT, and well.. low and behold I get a lot fewer headaches. And I too have less yellow urine. Never knew my blood pressure during high school, but I have great blood pressure now.
And I now love water. I am thirsty a lot and it's the first thing I reach for.

I probably drink somewhere around the 100oz mark a day. That'd be 5 20oz bottles (i refill powerade bottles with water) and that sounds about right. Probably always between 60 and 100oz daily.

For just plain water, typically 0oz to 30oz per day. If I go out to eat at a restaurant, I usually drink 32oz per meal. I don't believe I have ever drank more than 96oz of water in one day.

hmm... Office water cups are about 12oz I'd say, so at least 36oz a day during hte office when I'm sitting there, another 10-20 during lunch, and another 20-40 when I get home

I'd say about 50 oz on the days I don't exercise, and my urine is light yellow at that amount. Urine color is really the best way to tell if you have enough water in you. Stating that one needs to drink a specific amount each day is arbitrary.

About a gallon a day. According to your equation, that's too high but I feel better if I drink at least that much.

about 4L of water at work alone and I usually run out before the end of the day. I dont know whats wrong with me.. if anything but I am always thirsty, even when I am drinking.
