I should be more or less depending on how good the person cut your hair.

For me it's 0-5 dollars depending on such factors.

I do things similar, it depends on the person cutting. If its one of the two people who usually cut my hair I always give them a 5 spot just because they do a great job, and I consider the extra 5 worth it so that they do the same job next time. If its someone whos never cut my hair before, then it depends on the cut.

 

I pay $12 and give the guy $5. Been going to him for 3 years.

My hairdresser spends like a solid half an hour cutting, trimming and checking my hair, sometimes I fall asleep while she's working. I don't even have to tip her, just hand over my paycheck and mow the lawn once a week and everything is kosher

I normally round it up to the nearest £5 or £10. If it's £8, if I give a £10, it's "keep the change", if I give a £20, I take the £10 note and leave the rest. Last time it was £9.50, so i gave a £10 and walked out.

If it gets over £10 though, i'll probably start leaving £2-3

I've been going to the same barber for 12 years. I have never tipped nor do I plan to tip. Heck, I'm such a loyal customer that I drive 2 hours just to get a haircut from him (I go to my hometown once a month to visit family and friends). I know for a fact that if I tried to tip him, he wouldn't take it...
