It's $14 for a haircut at the haircuttery. How much tip should I give? I isually give $3-4 but that was before when their prices were cheap. Now I am thinking I should just give $2??

Why in the world would you guys tip the same every time? That is what the problem is with tipping these days.

I should be more or less depending on how good the person cut your hair.

For me it's 0-5 dollars depending on such factors.

I tip the same every time because the same person has cut it for the last 4 years. I usually tip her $3 because its always a good cut and that's why I go to her.

I've been going to the same barber shop for a long time now. Hair cut is $12. I just give them a $20 and tell them to keep the change

$5 always. I only pay $13 for the cut and the bonus makes the girl extra careful and happy when I come back. :D

I have a tip for your parents, then: unplug your son's internet connection and enroll him in a military academy, stat. :D

How much do they get paid? Typically, I can't see tipping anyone who gets paid a decent hourly wage. If they get a significantly lower amount per hour because they are expected to get tipped, like servers, then tip away, if not then who knows.

I personally cut my own hair =)

I do hope you're kidding...

Personally though I pay about $15 for my haircuts and usually tip $3. More every now and then if they've done a really good job or at least done a very thourough job.

tip n. A small sum of money given to someone for performing a service; a gratuity.

This isn't based on what they make. You can tip, or you don't have to tip.
