No, it's 10% on a $20 pizza. 🙂

$3 tip = 15%, just right.😀

Oh...my...god. I can't believe I said that....

You're right. $3-4 is appropriate then, depending on the promptness of the delivery.

This doesn't speak well for me as a EE.

Tip's included w/ the price of the pizza, tell the delivery guy to go fvck himself, 'cause I sure's hell ain't paying him extra.

i hope u like spit and/or whatever the pizza guy wants to put in ur pizza the next time he delievers to u...

Most of us delivery guys would never spit in a person's pizza. But don't expect it to be delivered hot if you don't tip.

Our job is to get a pizza from Point A to Point B within a certain amount of time. So if the person taking the order says 45 minutes to an hour, and you're pizza is ready within 12 minutes and the only delivery up, regardless it will get there at the end of an hour if you don't tip. For the actual salary we get (not tips) we also have jobs in the store we have to do, such as fold boxes, stock toppings, soda, etc.

However, if you're a good customer, I can guarantee you that your pizza will be delivered in exactly cooking time + driving time, which could be as quickly as 15 minutes.

15% is fine in a restaurant when the guy just walks to your table. This kid has to drive it to your house though, usually in all sorts of nasty weather, so your lazy ass doesn't have to go pick it up. I tip higher for that, $5 for any order over $10, over $30 he gets more.

At least $5. Or, nothing if you were Nik.

Oooooooo, slam. 😉 hehehe.

I think 3 bucks is right, 5 bucks if he's your regular guy and he gets his ass out there in a hurry.

no way i am tipping more than $2 for a $10 order... you are crazy

I got pizza about two hours ago. Some fat mafia looking guy delivered and he looked like he was about to pass out on my front step. You'd think he'd run 5 miles from his car to the door but no, only about 50ft up a 2% grade. Anyway total was $22.75 so I gave him $27.

ignore the caps, I had caps lock on and I don't care enough about this thread to fix it.

Check your math.

edit: got beaten to it.... thirty times.. thats what i get for not reading page 2

It depends a lot on the delivery charge. I don't tip the UPS or FedEx guy anything because of their delivery charges. 😱

assuming nice weather outside and he didn't arrive especially late or early, I'd tip $2/pizza if I had the singles, or just toss on a $5 if I don't. (I never ask for change... just round up with what I have).

if there's bad weather outside or if he arrives quickly, I'd throw on a few extra bucks.
