A couple grand a year, which is just enough so I don't have to pay taxes (I failed this year, need to put more next year). As my salary increases I want to put more though.

10% from me, 6% from my employer. Technically I have a pension that earns 7% of my income per year, but I'm not counting that due to some fairly long vesting requirements.

pension is nice if you can stay long enough to get it for life AND company doesnt go broke

pretty sure this is a disguised brag and moan thread.

LOL.:awe:

Not a whole lot right now as my new job doesn't allow me a retirement account until 1 year (October 11th). Then, probably 15% or so + 3% match. Throwing all of my money into liquid savings right now for kid's college over the next 8 years or so (that stuff is damn expensive). Wife puts 6% into the state retirement system.

We had been putting about 25% up until January but have slacked off terribly lately (1st time in 15 years). Will pick it up very soon.
