BTW. I'm in Fredericksburg now.
Guess I'll wait.. maybe I can call around in the morning and get prices without
worrying about waking people up.

One piece of advice, do it on the passenger side of the car, not the driver side...
using the slim jim can potentially damage your locks... better to damage the passenger side door than the driver side...
And electronic locks dont matter, it should still work... My friend did this one to his prelude, and we called what's equivalent to AAA here... they used the slim jim to open up his car, only took like 5 mins... but his locks didnt work properly after that...

I know I should have a sprare, but I never got around to it.
So anyways, how much would a locksmith charge tonight 1:30AM
and would it be a lot cheaper if I waited till business hours ?

Yeah, good advice...Always try on the passenger side.
His locks didn't work quite right? Did he try opening up the door panel & seeing if he could fix it? Door locks are pretty simple devices & I think anyone with a little mechanical awareness should be able to fix most problems.

No, he didnt try to open up the door panels... plus he totalled his car shortly afterwards so there was no need to anymore...![]()

He made a spare key for you and opened up your door without using a slim jim??? That's amazing!
What did he made the spare key out of???
