Right now I pay $945/month for a four bedroom 1100 sq ft. place. Next year I am moving into a 940 sq ft, 2 bedroom place that will run $480/month plus utilities.

Bedrooms are 12 x 12 (2 of them) and the master (my room, split wall) is 20 x 10.

$2000? Holy crap. You can rent a two or three bedroom house here for somewhere around $600. 2 bedroom apartments are usually in the $300-350 range with some utilities paid.

holy sh!t that's cheap.

Actually, back at home in Reading, they just installed a new apartment complex near my house, its basically a self-contained neighborhood, the apartments are standalone houses with yards, there is a small grocery store, pool, car wash, playground, everything, and the rent is less than what I'm paying in Philly.

You can live in a house townhouse complex (no upstairs neigbors) here for around $900 + utilities.

For a decent 2 br apartment I'd say $750.
