I can't see the ad but I got 300 lbs for $120 bar and Olympic weights. This was in the Pittsburgh area. I seen average of $150 for 300 lbs

Last week I bought a bench and 300lb set for $150 of craigslist. (In NJ)
Granted - the weights have a little rust on them. Don't think I care though.
And that bench looks a bit sturdier than the one I got.
And I've been watching for weeks.... great deals like that are only come up like once a week in my area- and often 50 minute drive away.

I don't like to bargain much with a craigslist seller - I'd rather wait for a more deal I want to pay for. You could offer $200 to start, but in my case, I wouldn't want to offer much lower than that.

$250 for that stuff is certainly an okay deal. Not great- but certainly ok.

I paid some years back 300 lbs for about $140 with the bar. However, those were simple iron; the ones here are rubber. I don't know if that matters to you, but the rubberized ones are substantially pricier. That leaves the bench. I'd personally prefer (and bought accordingly) a low-end cage (entry level bodysolid cage kicks ass) and incline bench (dito on bodysolid again), but there certainly costs more. I'd say $250 for those weights and bench is fair, if the bench is as sturdy in person as it looks there. I really do prefer a free-standing bench that inclines, though. I'd think about that and putting in the coin for an entry level cage.
