It's for a project, i need an estimated cost of food expenses per month if i'm living by myself and eat 3 times a day 🙂

I do but I don't track my food expense.

Sorry.

do you maybe remember how much you spent last time you went to the supermarket? probably was around a week ago I assume, so I can just multiply that by 3.5 🙂

Won't work. I don't spend much at a supermarket.

$125 but I'm a very slim eater (Krishna food, buying Boca burgers bulk, water by the gallons, etc)

I'm a hearty eater, and I usually eat ColdCuts, Chicken Breasts/Wings, baked ham etc with snacks.
Water by the gallons 😉

about $150-200

If I ate fast food everday, it would come out to $450 per month.

Avg $5x3=15x30

That figure would be 450+- $20 if I ate elsewhere or made food at home

I live by myself and I spend about $200 a month on grocery. That doesn't count eating out and lunch and other stuffs (cleaning supplies/housewares/etc.).

OP, there was a thread similar to this a few months ago. Do a search and you will have more information.

single male, 23.

I'd estimate about $50-$60/week, counting eating out (I go out to eat for at least one meal/week... frequently two). so about $250/month.

I don't use coupons, but I load up whenever they have half price frozen dinners at my grocery store 🙂

My typical daily spendings look something like this:

$5 breakfast
$10 lunch
$25 dinner

But I don't really exceed $1000 a month on food. At least I hope not.

I do, but I don't track my expenses...

my last grocery bill was 20$ exact. Included deli, rolls, whipped cream, pumpkin pie, a 20oz drink I drank while in the store and the frozen pizza I ate that night.

for me, I save alot on groceries with coupon. I love meat and it is hard to find coupons on meat. I spend at most $20 a week on groceries. my car actually eats more than me. damnit.
