you guys eat ramen for every meal? how is that possible?

we eat steak, hamburgers, fries, pizza, spaghetti, chicken stir fry, rice, hot dogs, hot pockets, egg rolls, sandwiches, cereal, pop tarts, bagels, eggs, sausage, hash browns, bacon, soda, soup, lettuce, tacos, wings, crackers, chips, salsa, cheez whiz, etc etc

the list goes on..

on $4 a day? are you sharing a pop tart between the two of you?
If you shop at grocery with good prices and buy in bulk.
Steak is spendy though.

But think about it.
If you buy a big bag, you can get chicken breasts for like $3 a pound.
One chicken breast is only like 1/4 of a pound, so that's 75 cents.
One potato probably costs 10 cents.
Veggies or salad for one is probably 30 cents.
Add in the cost of butter, seasonings, whatever else,
and you can probably make yourself a good dinner for under $2.
And if you eat pasta, it's even cheaper.
Spaghetti, marinara sauce, and a couple of meatballs probably runs around $1 for one person.
Eggs and toast is probably 50 cents worth of food.
Pancakes for one person is probably 30 cents.

Shopping smart, you can eat really cheap and still get good food.
But if you are eating a 16 oz NY steak for dinner every night, it's obviously going to be a lot more expensive.

yup, right on.

We have steak like once or twice a month, you can get good prices on it.

we spend like 50 cents on breakfast usually each

$1

lunch is like 1-1.50 each max

$3-4

supper is like average 2 each

$7-8 a day usually

edit: pop tarts are like 1.69 for 12 i think at aldis. Not name brand but they taste identical. thats like 14-15cents? I suck at math.

Just dropped $100 on chicken and things, another $20 for fruit,another$30 for personal care and $40 at the package store.Thjat doesn't include dinner out for tomorrow night and items needed during the week.
