really depends alot on how well you eat. I eat pretty well and spend about 100/week between 2 people. Also, we go out to eat once or twice a week.

Its abt $ 200-$250 / month for me :)

not bad for someone who has dinner every other day, isnt it? (mostly due to laziness!)

If I didn't eat out at all, it would be about 300-400 for myself, wife, and 3 kids.

I dunno, about $600 probably. I like to eat out a lot and when I don't I make good real food.

I eat very healthy, with lots of chicken breast, turkey, fish, lean meats, and fresh veggies. My grocery bill alone is normally about $75/week. And that's groceries alone, not supplements and protein powders.

I'd say myself $150/month, not counting going out, which clearly raises it. I rarely eat out for lunch but once a week or so we go out or order pizza like tonight.

for the wife and i we spend around $300-350 a month.

we tend to buy most of the stuff in bulk if we can. sometimes we blow the budget. like this last week i bought some good steaks from a local butcher. they were $12 each (darn good t-bones). but we tend to eat a lot of chicken.

Since i've been traveling I've been spending about 40-50 bux a day on food living in hotels and restaurants. So assuming that weekends I Don't eat out which I normally do. I would say around 800 bux a month for myself

If you shop at grocery with good prices and buy in bulk.
Steak is spendy though.

But think about it.
If you buy a big bag, you can get chicken breasts for like $3 a pound.
One chicken breast is only like 1/4 of a pound, so that's 75 cents.
One potato probably costs 10 cents.
Veggies or salad for one is probably 30 cents.
Add in the cost of butter, seasonings, whatever else,
and you can probably make yourself a good dinner for under $2.
And if you eat pasta, it's even cheaper.
Spaghetti, marinara sauce, and a couple of meatballs probably runs around $1 for one person.
Eggs and toast is probably 50 cents worth of food.
Pancakes for one person is probably 30 cents.

Shopping smart, you can eat really cheap and still get good food.
But if you are eating a 16 oz NY steak for dinner every night, it's obviously going to be a lot more expensive.

200-250/30

6.50-8.33 a day

no, poptarts = 12 for 1.50 = 13 cents each where I get mine.

I spend 150 a month for myself, but I go out to eat a lot.
